Vinod Kambli’s health problems started in December 2024, when he was admitted to a hospital in Thane due to urin infection and cramps. After a few months of treatment and physiotherapy, the condition of Vinod Kambli has been seen to improve. His brother Virendra told that he is now at home and his situation is stable, but he is still having difficulty speaking and walking.

Cambali scored 1084 runs in 17 Tests at an average of 54.20. These include four centuries and three half -centuries. Apart from this, he scored 2477 runs in 104 ODIs at an average of 32.59.
