Virat completed his century in 102 balls in the first ODI against South Africa. Kohli hit 7 fours and 5 sixes to complete his century.

In the same match, Rohit Sharma also scored the 60th half-century of his ODI career. Rohit could not reach the century, but Virat showed strong performance and crossed the 100-run mark for the 52nd time in his ODI career.

Virat Kohli has now become the batsman who has scored the most centuries against South Africa in the history of ODI cricket. This was his sixth ODI century against South Africa.
