Digilocker: It is not easy to gather all the important documents in any emergency situation. In today’s era, even in an uncertain state like war or coronic epidemic, it is necessary to have a place of all these documents in a place so that if needed, our hands will immediately get it. There is also a fear of losing them, so they should be kept in a very safe way.

In such a situation, make sure that you have a digital copy of documents like PAN card, passport, voter ID. You can keep them secure of cloud -based application like Digilocker. In this virtual locker, you can store your documents online. Explain that this is an initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and IT under the Digital India program.

How to use?

• Digilocker is very easy to use. If you want, you can visit Digilocker’s website or download the application by visiting Google Play Store or Microsoft Store.
• If you already have an account, then sign in or create a new account.
• E-KYC is necessary to use the application. You will be able to do this from home. For this, Digeelocker will have to link to the Aadhaar card. Enter the OTP on your registered mobile number by entering Aadhaar number in the application. Soon after KYC, you will be able to use Digeelocker.
• Now go to the app and click on ‘Upload Documents’ option. Now upload documents like marksheet, certificate from the device. However, keep in mind that the size of the file is less than 10MB.

Will not be able to keep these documents

You will not be able to keep all those documents in Digilocker, which has not been issued by the government recognized institute. Such as information related to credit card details, ATM PIN, bank account. Apart from this, hand -written documents also cannot be stored in it. You will not be able to store any kind of receipt or contract paper.
