Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on Saturday (October 4, 2025), denied the possibility of interaction with the Maoists in any way and said that he should surrender and participate in the development of Bastar. Shah, while addressing the program of Bastar Dussehra Lokotsav, 2025 and Swadeshi Mela held at Lalbagh Parade Ground in Jagdalpur, once again reiterated the resolve to eliminate Naxalism from the country till 31 March, 2026.

He said that on the strength of weapons, security forces will give a befitting reply to those who disturb the peace of Bastar. Addressing the people of Bastar region, Shah said, ‘I want to tell all tribal brothers and sisters to explain to the youth of your village to lay off. Put that arms, come to the mainstream and participate in the development of Bastar.

State and central government dedicated to the development of every Naxal-affected region- Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, ‘Some people talk about talks, I make it clear once again, both our governments- Chhattisgarh and Central Government- are dedicated to the development of every region- Bastar and Naxal-affected every region, what to talk, we have made a very seductive surrender policy, let us give up. If you worked to disintegrate the peace of Bastar on the strength of weapon, then our armed forces will answer it. The date of March 31, 2026 is decided to bid farewell to Naxalism from the land of this country.

Naxalism is the biggest obstacle for development of Bastar- Shah

The Union Home Minister described Naxalism as the biggest obstacle for the development of Bastar and expressed confidence that by next year the problem will end. Shah said, ‘This morning I saw and worshiped Danteshwari Mai. At the feet of the mother, it has been prayed that on March 31, 2026, give strength to our security forces to free the entire Bastar region from red terror.

Some people had spread confusion for many years- Shah

He said, ‘Some people in Delhi spread confusion for years that the birth of Naxalism is a fight for development, but I have come to tell the tribal brothers that the whole of Bastar was bereft of development, development has not reached you, its root cause is Naxalism. Today, every village of the country has been provided with electricity, drinking water, road, toilets in every house, health insurance up to five lakh rupees, five kg free rice and your paddy to 3100 rupees (per quintal). But Bastar is left behind.

More than 500 people put weapons in a month- Shah

Shah said, ‘I want to assure you today (Prime Minister Narendra) on behalf of Modi ji that after 31 March 2026, Naxalites will not be able to stop your development. Will not be able to stop your rights. A lot of work has been done, a lot of work is left.

He said, ‘I have also come to appeal to all of you that children who are misled by misleading, are from your village, explain to them to put weapons and come in the mainstream. The Chhattisgarh government has formulated the best surrender policy in India. More than 500 people have given up arms in a single month. All people should give up arms. As soon as your village is Naxalite free, the Chhattisgarh government will give you one crore rupees for the development of the village. No one will benefit from Naxalism.

What did Union Home Minister say on organizing indigenous fair,

During this time, Shah requested everyone to adopt indigenous items and said, ‘Today, Swadeshi Jagran Manch has also organized Swadeshi fair here. Our Prime Minister has also emphasized the use of indigenous goods. Swadeshi Jagran Manch has been running a mass movement of Swadeshi for many years. Now Modi ji has told everyone that in every house, it has to be resolved that only things made in the country will be used in my house.

He said, ‘Every businessman has to take a pledge that nothing made from abroad will be available in my shop, inside my shopping mall. Today I have come to tell that if the population of 140 crores imbibes Swadeshi’s resolve, then no one will be able to stop our India from becoming the highest economic system in the world.

The Center launched a lot of schemes for the upliftment of tribals- Shah

Shah said, ‘PM Modi has given great relief to mother and sisters across the country by reducing taxes (GST) in 395 items. Only five percent of GST has been kept in daily use things. The Union Home Minister also informed about the work being done by the Central Government for the upliftment of tribals.

He said, ‘The BJP government has started a lot of schemes in honor of the tribals. The biggest thing is that for the first time our leader Narendra Modi has done the work of putting tribal’s daughter, sister Draupadi Murmu for the first time. When His Majesty Draupadi Murmu ji meets the heads of state around the world, then not only the tribal society but our heart is filled with pride.

He said that Prime Minister Modi worked to celebrate the 150 birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda as a tribe pride. Shah said, ‘Our Narendra Modi has done more than the families of Naxalites who surrender in seven districts of Bastar division and those who have been killed in Naxalite violence, our Narendra Modi has done more than 15,000 Prime Minister’s houses fixed for their families.’

The Center gave Rs 4,40,000 crore in 10 years for the development of the state- Shah

He said that the central government has given about four lakh 40 thousand crore rupees for the development of Chhattisgarh in the last 10 years. The Union Home Minister earlier offered prayers at the Maa Danteshwari Temple in Jagdalpur and participated in the traditional event Muria Darbar to be held under the world famous Bastar Dussehra festival. In the Muria court, Shah interacted with priests and leaders of tribal community.

During the program, Shah released the 20th installment of the state’s Mahtari Vandan Yojana and transferred an amount of Rs 606.94 crore to the bank accounts of 65 lakh women. He also launched the Chief Minister Rural Bus Service Scheme for tribal dominated Bastar and Surguja divisions.

Chief Minister gave address in the program

In his address, the Chief Minister of the state Vishnudev Sai said that under this bus service scheme, 250 villages will be included and 34 buses will be run on 34 routes. He said that under this scheme, the state government will compensate the loss to bus operators. During this, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, members of Sai cabinet and senior leaders were present.

In Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, 71 Maoists have surrendered to the security forces, out of which 30 were declared a reward of Rs 64 lakh on Naxalites. Regarding the surrender of the Maoists, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the government with ‘double engine’ is committed to eliminating Naxalism by 31 March 2026 and is committed to providing respectable rehabilitation and better life to the Maoists who surrendered.

71 Naxalites have surrendered after being impressed by the ‘Lone Varratu’ (come back home) in Bastar division and the ‘Loan Vratu’ (come back home) in Dantewada district.

A total of 71 Maoists are also included in 21 women. The 17 -year -old boy, 16 and 17 -year -old minor girls are also among the surrender. Among the Maoists who surrendered, a reward of eight-eight lakh rupees was declared in platoon number two in platoon number two and a member of the company number one Manki alias Sameela Mandavi (20).

Attack on police and other serious allegations
Janmilisia Commander Shamila alias Somli Kavali (25), Area Committee members Gangi alias Rohni Barse (25), Santosh Mandavi (30) and Deve alias Kavita Madvi (25) had a reward of five lakh rupees. A reward of Rs 3 lakh was declared on a Maoist who surrendered, Rs 2-2 lakh on 6 Maoists, Rs 1 lakh on 9 Maoists and Rs 50-50 thousand on 8 Maoists.

The police team is accused of attacking the police team, arson and many other Naxalite incidents against the surrendered Maoists.

What did the female Maoist tell?
Shamila, one of the surrender female Maoists, said that she was active in the organization since 2009 and decided to leave it due to the increasing pressure of security forces and constant anti -Naxal operations.

Shamila said that her husband Mallesh is currently active as Maoist commander in the northern region of Bastar. She was recently active as a Janamilisia Commander in the Maoists’ Indravati region committee and was part of the Maoist squad involved in an encounter with security personnel in the region in the last few months.

Children were not allowed to do
Shamila said, “While working in the organization, I got married to Mallesh. We do not have children because it is not allowed while working in the organization. Now I am happy that I will be able to live a normal life. ”She got the last time in January last year from her husband. She wrote a letter to her husband to leave the organization, but received no response from her.

Shamila said, “I want to ask him to surrender to surrender to make us live a normal and happy life.”

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has said that the power tariff declared by the Chhattisgarh Electricity Regulatory Commission for the year 2025-26 has been increased by only 1.89 percent, which is one of the minimum growth in the past years. This decision has been taken in a transparent manner after the process of public hearing and it has been appreciated by domestic consumers to steel and rolling mill industries.

No additional load on farmers

The Chief Minister said that domestic power rates have been increased by only 10 to 20 paise, while agricultural pump has been increased by 50 paise per unit for consumers, which will not directly affect the farmers as this amount is being paid by the government in advance as subsidy.

Chief Minister Sai said that our aim is that there should be no additional economic burden on the farming class of Chhattisgarh. The government is completely protecting the interests of farmers.

Promotion of industries, steel industry rates cut

The Chief Minister said that the state government has cut the rates of energy-intensive industries like mini steel, rolling mill and ferro alloy to keep industries competitive. This decision shows the commitment of the state government towards industries.

The Chief Minister said that on an average 23.85 hours/day in urban areas and 23.45 hours/day in rural areas, power supply is being ensured. Especially in agricultural feeders, 18 hours per day is being supplied, which is included in the most data in all the states of the country. Technical and commercial loss (AT&C Loss) has been reduced from 23.14% to 13.79% in 2020-21 to 13.79%. This achievement is a proof of efficient operation, transparent system and technical reforms.

Big investment for infrastructure development

The current tariff also includes a capital investment plan under which there is a provision of ₹ 2433 crore for the transmission company, ₹ 3977 crore for distribution company and ₹ 2992 crore for generation company. The work of setting up a 1320 MW plant in Korba has also started, which costs ₹ 15,800 crores. With this, Chhattisgarh will become a state of energy in future and uninterrupted supply will be ensured.

A step towards solar energy

The Chief Minister said that under the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Power Scheme, up to 3 kW plants up to ₹ 78,000 will be given from the central government to an additional 2 kW plants from the state government up to ₹ 30,000. This scheme is a revolutionary initiative towards making domestic consumers of Chhattisgarh energy self -sufficient.

3 lakh crore agreement in energy

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that more than Rs 3 lakh crore agreement has been signed by the power company/government, which will revolutionize both energy production and employment in the coming time.

The Chief Minister clarified that our priority is that electricity consumers should not only get uninterrupted supply, but it should be quality, inexpensive and durable. Through current and future schemes, Chhattisgarh will set a national standard in the field of energy.

During the meeting, officials said that in the financial year 2024-25, the state received a total tax revenue of Rs 23,448 crore from GST and VAT, which is 38% of the total tax revenue of the state. Chhattisgarh has achieved 18% GST growth rate, which is the highest in the country.

Finance and Commercial Tax (GST) Minister OP Chaudhary shared departmental information in the meeting. Chief Minister Sai appreciated the efforts made by the department for GST collection and said that continuous efforts should be made to increase the collection as per the rules. He also discussed in detail the cases of tax evasion with departmental officers and measures to deal with them.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai directed to take strict action against those taking unfair advantage using fake bills, dual book account system and wrong tax rates. Praising the innovative initiatives of the department, he said that the average time limit of GST registration has been reduced from 13 days to 2 days.

In the meeting, the officials informed about the recent large actions and recovery of tax evasion amount by the GST department. It was informed in the meeting that due to the actions taken by the department, the tax revenue of the government is continuously increasing.

It is noteworthy that GST offices have been established in all 33 districts of the state, due to which the work of tax collection and GST services is being edited with transparency and timeliness.

Chief Minister Sai told Home Minister Amit Shah that 427 Maoists were killed in 205 encounters, including the top leaders of the organization, General Secretary Baswa Raju and the notorious Maoists like Central Committee member Sudhakar. Along with this, 64 new forward security camps have been set up in the state, which has strengthened the security network.

He informed that basic facilities like electricity, drinking water, health services and schools are being provided fast to the villages near these security camps. In 146 villages identified under the ‘Need Nellanar Yojana’, 18 types of community services and 25 types of government schemes are being implemented in the integrated manner, which has increased the trust of the local people in the regime.

Appreciating the progress report presented by Chief Minister Sai, Home Minister Amit Shah said that the efforts of the Chhattisgarh government are making decisive control possible and the central government will continue to provide all possible assistance to the state.

Chhattisgarh cabinet meeting: An important cabinet meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. The cabinet also approved the 2025 transferred policy, ending the 3 -year long wait of the officers of Chhattisgarh. Under the new transfer policy, employees of Chhattisgarh can apply from June 6 to June 13. After this, the approval of the minister in -charge will be received from 14 June to 25 June. At the same time, after the approval of the departmental minister at the state level, they will be transferred.

A minimum service of 2 years will be required for transfer. Along with this, special discounts will be given in transfer if there is 1 year left of serious illness, disability and retirement. Also, the government will have a special focus in filling vacant posts in Naxal -affected districts like Sukma, Bijapur and Narayanpur.

Vishnu Dev Sai Cabinet has also approved “Affairs Jan Awas Yojana 2025” to provide cheap plots to the people of low and middle income class in the poetry area. Kalagram to be built in Nawa Raipur

In order to promote the art and culture of Chhattisgarh state, the cabinet decided to make 10 acres of land free of cost to the Culture Department in Nawa Raipur Atal Nagar to establish Kalagram in the state and pay the reimbursement amount against the said land to the Nawa Raipur Atal Municipal Development Authority.

Chhattisgarh Yuva Ratna Samman will be organized

The Sai Cabinet has decided to start the Yuva Ratna Samman Yojana to honor people and organizations who have done remarkable work in various fields of youth welfare in the state. Under this scheme, people or voluntary organizations who work extraordinary and specialized in the field of youth welfare will be awarded the Chhattisgarh Youth Ratna Samman. In this, the youth will be given a medal, certificate, shawl and a maximum of Rs 2.50 lakh, while the institution will be given a prize money of Rs 5 lakh.

Youth Ratna Samman will be provided in the fields of social, literature, innovation, education, sports, environment, women and child development, media, health, science and technology, disabled empowerment, art-music and folk art in the state. Youth Ratna Samman will be provided every year to one youth selected for outstanding work in the above areas. Which includes medals, medal certificates, shawls and maximum of one lakh rupees. This honor will be given only to women and girls for outstanding work in the field of women and child development.

CG Naxalites surrender: Positive results of the effective surrender and rehabilitation policy of the Government of Chhattisgarh and Nayed Nella Nar Yojana are now coming out. In Bijapur district, 24 hardcore Naxalites, a prize of Rs 87 lakh 50 thousand in front of security forces, have taken a historic decision to return to the mainstream of the society. Out of these, rewards ranging from Rs 50,000 to 10 lakh were declared on 20 Naxalites.

On the surrender of the Naxalites, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the complete destruction of red terror from the country and state is certain. This is the reason that the government hopes that by March 2026, Naxalism from Chhattisgarh will also be successful in completely eliminating and hardcore Naxalite areas like Bastar, Sukma will be able to connect with the mainstream of development.
