Popular film director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is currently promoting his most awaited film ‘The Bengal Files’ in America. For this, he is hosting many world premiere in different cities. Now Vivek has announced that he will launch the trailer of ‘The Bengal Files’ in Kolkata.

Let me tell you that as the promotion of ‘The Bengal Files’ started, some members of Mamata Banerjee’s TMC party accused Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, producer Abhishek Aggarwal and actress-producer Pallavi Joshi of showing controversial content in the film. TMC leaders had also lodged several FIRs against him.

In response to the FIR of TMC Neta, the makers of ‘The Bengal Files’ moved the court and the High Court has given relief to all the FIRs at present. But even after this order of the court, new FIRs are being lodged against the makers. Seeing all this, director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri released a video on social media, in which he accused the ruling party that he is trying to stop the film and save the truth from coming out.

‘Why are you feeling so afraid of the truth?’
While sharing the video, Vivek wrote in the caption- ‘Essential and important, the West Bengal government has registered several FIRs against me for making The Bengal files. The Honorable High Court has banned them. Why do they want to make us silent? Why are you feeling so scared of truth? I will not be silent Please watch and share. In her video, Vivek described The Bengal files as the most important film in the country, which brings out a very deep and hidden truth of Indian history.

Where the FIR will be launched the trailer
Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri further asked in the video- ‘Why is the government pressing the voice of the people and hiding the old and today’s truth. Are he against the film, against his maker or against the truth? After this, the director appealed to all the people, especially the youth, to see ‘The Bengal files’. He also openly challenged Mamata Banerjee’s party and announced that now the trailer of the film will be launched in Kolkata, in the same city where these FIRs are being lodged.

Star cast of ‘The Bengal Files’
‘The Bengal Files’ has been written by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and has been produced by Abhishek Aggarwal and Pallavi Joshi. Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher and Darshan Kumar are playing important roles in the film. The film, introduced by Tej Narayan Aggarwal and IM Buddha Productions, is part of Vivek’s files Trillji, including The Kashmir files and The Tashkent Files. The film will be released in theaters on 5 September 2025.
