Actor Vivek Oberoi is currently being seen in the film Masti 4. He is seen in a comedy role in the film. Vivek is busy promoting the film. Recently the actor talked about his personal life and heartbreak. He told how that emotional journey shaped him.

What did Vivek say on heartbreak?

Remembering the heart-breaking times that once made Vivek sad. On this, the actor said, “A person may be wrong for you. But the same person may be right for someone else. It may be that the timing is wrong. You meet the same person 20 years ago. You fall in love with him. You must have seen such love stories. For some time, I had started living by myself. I did not want to be in a relationship. I had gone into that zone. But when you find the right person, all those things seem like a nightmare.”

Vivek further said, ‘We should not take tension. And things about which we thought were big problems. But later we laugh at them. When heartbreak happens in childhood, you feel that the world has ended. She has left me. What will I do now? Then after two years you are dating someone else. And you become happy. You get married…you have kids. Life goes on.

Vivek told how the emotional phase shaped him. Vivek said, ‘It is easy to fall in love when you are young. But as you grow up, you make mistakes in relationships. You learn from those mistakes. Then you understand that the journey was not just about love. This has been overly romanticized. This is the beginning, but staying in love is the next challenge and then you have to grow further in love.

In an interview given to Pinkvilla, Vivek Oberoi talked about his personal life and struggle. When Vivek was asked how he got his first film with Ram Gopal Varma, the actor told that he was struggling for 2 years. Every day he used to meet people and give auditions.

Gave auditions for 2 years
Vivek told that I was giving auditions every day for two years and was getting rejected but was trying. When he met Ram Gopal Varma for the first time, he was rejected for the role of a gangster in the company. Vivek said- ‘Ramu ji met me and told me that you seem to be a very educated, polished chocolate boy type and I need someone like that, so he should be hardcore because this is a gangster film.’

Vivek lived in slums
Vivek told that he was thinking that this is a corporate film because its name is Company. Vivek said- ‘I knew that the name of the picture was Company. Now when people hear about the company, they feel that it is suit-tie polished, isn’t it? How did we know which company was being formed? When he understood, I said, give me a chance. I went and lived in the slums. I lived in a slum for 6 weeks-7 weeks. Opened on hire in the slum. Stayed in the room. Big rats used to come at night. Water had to be taken out from inside the drum. There was no bathroom, you had to use the accessible toilet. Had to stand in line. I realized what Chandu Nagre’s life would be like. How he blows beedis, how he drinks tea, how he talks.

Vivek further said- ‘Then when I went to Ramuji, I went as that character. Because I didn’t know whether they would let me audition or not. So I went dressed like the character. I went to his room with lots of pictures. He had made up his mind that he had to refuse it today. I entered smoking beedi like one enters a gang stop and sat on a chair and placed my feet on the table. Slipper on both tables. At last he said- Tremendous audition. I had never seen such an audition. Finally he said, you are doing my film.
