Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov, head of the operational training department of Vladimir Putin’s army, has died in a suspicious car bomb explosion in Moscow.

Sarvarov, 56, was the chief of the operational training department of the armed forces. This matter is being investigated. The possible role of Ukraine’s intelligence agencies in this is also being investigated. There has been no reaction on this from Ukraine.

Sarvarov had taken part in many wars for Russia

According to Russian media, ‘Major General Fanil Sarvarov, head of the operational training department of the Russian Defense Ministry, was blown up on Yasenevaya Street. He was a participant in the conflicts in Chechnya, Ossetia and Syria. They are also participants in the war in Ukraine.

Sukhovetsky killed at the beginning of the Ukraine war

After the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, senior Russian commander Sukhovetsky was the first to be killed. According to Ukraine, he was shot by a sniper in Kiev on 28 February 2022. Later Russia confirmed his death.

Sukhovetsky, deputy commander of the 41st Army, previously served in Syria, the North Caucasus and Abkhazia, a pro-Russian region of Georgia.

A politician in Russian-controlled Donetsk confirmed that Frolov, a deputy commander of the 8th Guards Army, was killed in the shooting. Shot by a sniper at the Ilyich Steel and Iron Works during the Russian siege of the southern Ukrainian city of Mariupol in 2022.
