Volkswagen Golf GTi Sold Out: Volkswagen India started booking its popular performance hatchback Volkswagen Golf GTI on 5 May 2025. Within 5 days of launch, its first batch was fully booked. The company initially opened the first slot of 150 units in India, which is now completely sold out.

However, the company had earlier informed that a total of 250 units would be imported to India. The official announcement of the price is likely to be made only in May 2025. It is clear from such a sharp booking of this car that the enthusiasm about the sports car segment in the Indian market has increased considerably.

Features and Technology

Volkswagen Golf GTI’s cabin is fully equipped with sporty and modern technology. It has GTI badging leather-rapped sports steering wheel, paddle shifters, 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro (Driver Display). Apart from this, the car also includes premium features like 7-speaker sound system, wireless charging, ambient lighting and panoramic sunroof. With all these features, this car gives great driving experience.

Exterior and performance

At the same time, talking about its exterior, the design of Volkswagen Golf GTI is completely based on performance-theme. The front bumper has a large air dam and X-shape fog lights with a honeycomb pattern, which gives it a better look. GTI badging with red strip in side profiles, which combines headlamps and brake calipers, and 18-inch alloy wheels make it even more attractive. At the back side smoked LED tail lights, roof spiiler and twin exhaust tips give it a classic and sporty finish of a performance car.

In terms of performance, GOLF GTI India-Spake version provides a 2-liter TSI turbocharged petrol engine, which generates maximum power of 265bhp and torque of 370Nm. The company claims that this car can catch the speed of 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 5.9 seconds, making it one of the fastest performance hatchback in India.
