The results of Bihar assembly elections will be declared today. NDA seems to be getting the lead in the initial trends. At the same time, the Grand Alliance is leading on only 59 seats. Meanwhile, in Bakhtiyarpur assembly seat, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) candidate Arun Kumar has taken a huge lead in the initial round.

At the time of writing, according to the Election Commission, till the seventh round, Arun Kumar is leading with 28,208 votes and his nearest rival, RJD’s Anirudh Kumar, is with 19,013 votes. At present, Arun Kumar’s lead is about 9,195 votes, which is much more than other candidates. This clearly indicates that victory is almost certain in their favor and no opponent will be able to leave them behind.

Candidates of other parties are far behind

This lead of Lok Janshakti Party has increased the hopes of Chirag Paswan and his party getting this seat. Other candidates like Anirudh Kumar (RJD), Balmiki Singh (Jan Suraj Party), Deepak Bhai Patel (BSP) and others are all trailing behind Arun Kumar.

Lok Janshakti Party contesting elections on 29 seats

This time Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) has entered the electoral fray with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The party has been given 29 seats in Bihar, which are in the districts of Patna, Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Khagaria, Vaishali, Rohtas, Nawada, Saran, Sitamarhi, East Champaran, Saharsa, Siwan, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Buxar, Jehanabad and Aurangabad.

How was LJP’s performance in the last elections?

In 2020, LJP had fielded candidates on 135 seats, but only the Matihani seat of Begusarai was won. At that time Rajkumar Singh became the only MLA of the party. In 2020, the party got 5.66 percent votes in the state. Whereas in 2015, LJP was a part of NDA and it got only two seats.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has conducted the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 in a peaceful and successful manner. This time, 67.13 percent voting took place in the state, which is the highest turnout since 1951. Now the Commission has completed all preparations for the counting of votes to be held on 14 November 2025.

All candidates and parties expressed satisfaction
According to the Election Commission, this time there was no need for repolling in any assembly constituency. Of the total 2,616 candidates, none sought re-polling and 12 recognized political parties also did not lodge any complaint or objection. This is considered to be one of the most transparent elections ever.

zero appeal for the first time
More than 7 crore 45 lakh voters were included in the final voter list of Bihar. Despite this, no party from any district filed any complaint or appeal. Zero appeals were registered in a total of 38 districts, proving that this time’s elections were completely peaceful and fair.

Strict security and management for counting of votes across the state
Arrangements for counting of votes have been made in all 243 assembly constituencies of Bihar. One Returning Officer (RO) and one counting observer have been deployed for each area. A total of 4,372 tables have been set up for counting of votes and each table will have a counting supervisor, an assistant and a micro observer. More than 18,000 agents will also be present on behalf of the candidates during the counting of votes, so that the entire process remains transparent.

Three-tier security system implemented

The Election Commission has made impenetrable security arrangements at the counting centres. Every district is being monitored 24 hours by CCTV. Three layers of security have been created – CAPF, CISF and CRPF are deployed in the first layer; Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP) is handling the responsibility in the second layer; Whereas District Armed Police (DAP) is deployed in the third layer. Apart from this, ASP/DSP and Magistrate level officers are continuously monitoring so that the counting of votes remains completely peaceful and transparent.

Counting of votes will start at 8 am, counting of postal ballots first
Counting of votes will start at 8 am on November 14. Postal ballots will be counted first, after which counting of electronic voting machines (EVMs) will start from 8:30 am. Counting of postal ballots will be done in the presence of candidates or their representatives, and the process will be completed before the final round of EVM counting.

VVPAT matching process for transparency
During counting of EVMs each control unit will be shown to the concerned agents to ensure that the seals are secure and the serial numbers match the records. If any discrepancy is found in the number of votes in any polling station, the VVPAT slips there will be compulsorily counted. After completion of counting, five polling stations will be randomly selected in each assembly constituency and their VVPAT slips will be matched with the EVM results.

Results will be released on the official website
The Election Commission said that the election results will be released round-wise and assembly-wise on the official website of ECI. Voters and media representatives will be able to view accurate and certified results by visiting https://results.eci.gov.in. The Commission has also appealed that people should not trust any unofficial or unconfirmed source and get information only from the official portal.

The results of Bihar Assembly elections (2025) are to come tomorrow (Friday). Regarding this, the Election Commission said on Wednesday (November 12, 2025) that the electronic voting machines (EVMs) have been kept in the strong room amid tight security arrangements. The counting of votes will be done on Friday (November 14, 2025) at 46 centers established in all 38 districts of the state. EVM and VVPAT machines used in voting have been kept in a two-tier security cordon.

The responsibility of internal security of the strong room complex has been entrusted to the Central Armed Paramilitary Forces (CAPF), while the responsibility of external security arrangements has been given to the District Police. Apart from this, 24-hour CCTV surveillance and other security arrangements have been made.

Defective EVMs and VVPATs kept safe

A control room has also been set up in each strong room complex, where senior officers will be on constant duty. All District Election Officers and Returning Officers of the respective assembly constituencies have been instructed to inspect the strong rooms daily. EVMs and VVPATs found faulty during the mock poll or at the time of voting as well as unused machines have been kept safe separately.

Ban imposed on meetings, processions, protests or demonstrations

On the other hand, Patna’s District Election Officer-cum-District Magistrate Thiagarajan SM said that violation of the Model Code of Conduct will not be tolerated. Explaining the guidelines, he said that any kind of victory procession is banned. Any kind of meeting, procession, dharna or demonstration related to political purpose by any person/political party/organization will be prohibited. Sound amplifier will not be used.

District control room will work 24×7 hours

Patna DM said that no compromise can be made on maintaining law and order. No work will be done contrary to the conditions of permission. The District Control Room (0612-2219810/ 2219234) will work 24×7. As per requirement, any kind of information can be given to the district control room or dial-112.

Also read- ‘NDA got more than 140 seats, which means in EVM…’, who made the claim as soon as the exit poll came?

Voting for the first phase of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 has been completed, while voting for the second phase is to be held on November 11. Along with this, preparations for counting of votes are going on at a fast pace across the state. The Election Commission has completed all necessary arrangements to ensure security and transparency at the counting centres.

According to media reports, counting of Bihar Assembly election votes will start at 8 am on November 14. Regarding this, strong rooms have been made in the districts, where EVM machines are kept under complete security. Market committee premises have been selected for counting of votes in Muzaffarpur. Three level security arrangements have been made here. Bihar Police personnel are deployed in the outermost circle, Bihar SAP forces are deployed in the middle circle and central paramilitary forces have been deployed in the innermost circle. There is a system of strict frisking at the entrance and dozens of CCTV cameras have been installed throughout the complex, which are being monitored 24 hours from the control room.

Strong room equipped with highest security standards (Bihar Vote Counting Security)

The Election Commission says that all the guidelines are being strictly followed to ensure that there is no lapse at any level in the transparency of vote counting. The strong room is equipped with the highest security standards and only authorized officials are allowed to enter there. All the officials associated with the voting process are busy preparing for the counting day, so that there is no lapse in monitoring and coordination.

Initial trends will start emerging after 8:30 am (Bihar Election Result 2025 Time)

According to the information, initial trends are likely to emerge after 8:30 am. Considering the number of booths, the counting of Sakra and Meenapur assembly constituencies is expected to be completed first, while the counting of Muzaffarpur and Gaighat seats will be completed last.

Counting of postal ballot will start first (Postal Valet Counting)

Counting of postal ballot will start first on the RO table. The least number of booths in the district are in Sakra and Meenapur, so counting will be completed here in about 25 rounds. At the same time, due to more booths in Muzaffarpur and Gaighat, counting will continue for about 30 rounds.

The administration is fully alert regarding vote counting. The objective of the Election Commission is that the result process should be conducted in a completely fair, secure and transparent manner. So that the political equations of Bihar become clear by the evening of 14th November.
