People of Bihar gave answers about SIR

Vote Vibe has conducted a survey amid the SIR process of the Election Commission in Bihar. In the survey, some questions related to the SIR process have been asked to the people of Bihar. On which the people of Bihar have expressed their opinion.

Question- Did you have any kind of problem with adding or removing the name in the voter list?

answer- On this, 37.2 percent of the people of the state replied yes. At the same time, 42.2 percent people said that they did not have any problem, while 20.6 percent people said that they could not say.

Question- Do you believe that SIR is done in the right and transparent way?

answer- On this, 39.9 percent people of Bihar have given their response in yes. At the same time, 39.9 percent people have replied in not. While 20.4 percent cannot say, he has given his opinion.

Question- Is one month’s time given to raise objection to the voter list?

answer- On this question, 38.3 percent people said that yes, so much time is enough and more than enough. At the same time, 40.9 percent people reacted in not. While 20.8 percent people said that they cannot say.

Question- What is your opinion on the nationwide SIR in view of the disturbances in the voter list?

answer- 49.2 percent people of Bihar said on this question that it should be implemented immediately. At the same time, 39.1 percent people said that there is no need. While 11.6 percent of the people cannot say.

Question- Do you have anyone in the 11 documents offered for ECI?

answer- 74.7 percent people of Bihar said that yes, he gave his response. At the same time, only 11.8 percent people gave their reply not. While 13.5 percent people said that they cannot say.

On Monday (August 11, 2025) in the Rajya Sabha, the opposition Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge protested against the demonetisation of three Bills in the opposition’s uproar on the issue of special intensive revision of the voter list in Bihar, protesting that this does not happen in democracy. At the same time, the leader of the House JP Nadda said that democracy must be protected but the House cannot be made hostage.

After a one -time adjournment, the Manipur Budget and Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill 2025 and the Commercial Ship Transport Bill were approved by the Development of the Upper House at 2 pm.

When the Manipur Budget and Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill were being discussed in the House briefly, the opposition MPs wanted the Leader of the Opposition to be allowed to speak Mallikarjun Kharge. These members were raising uproar and slogans against the ongoing SIR process in Bihar.

Sitharaman criticized opposition for opposing Manipur’s budget

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman criticized the opposition for opposing Manipur’s budget. He said that the opposition speaks about Manipur, but when his budget and GST Bill is being discussed, he is not only opposing any other issue, but also votes against him. Opposition MPs were heard saying ‘no’ during the voice polling on the bill.

After this, the Minister of Ship Transport and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal introduced the ‘Commerce Shipping Bill, 2025’ to discuss and pass. Meanwhile, Kharge was allowed to speak from the seat. Kharge said that there is no system in the House, there is a ruckus, yet important bills are being passed. He said, “This does not happen in democracy.”

Could not make the house hostage- JP Nadda

On this, the House leader JP Nadda said, “Democracy should be protected. Of course it should be. But the House cannot be held hostage. ”Nadda said that the opposition, who agreed to pass the bill in the work advisory committee, obstructed it. He said that efforts are being made to bring peace in Manipur for two years and today when two Bills of Manipur were discussed in the House, it is surprising to see the behavior of the opposition.

Opposition members protested strongly on this matter of Nadda and the uproar intensified. Presiding Chairman Surendra Singh Nagar adjourned the meeting till 3 o’clock at 50 minutes. When the meeting started again at three o’clock, Kharge started to speak with the permission of the posture. He mentioned the front taken by the opposition on the issue of SIR today and said that this is an important issue.

Kharge could not even complete his talk that the members of the ruling party started protesting. Opposition members objected to this. He walked out of the House, alleging that the Leader of Opposition is not allowed to speak.

Opposition surrounded the issue of Manipur

Nadda said, “This behavior of the opposition is condemnable. The government is ready to discuss every subject. At the beginning of the session, we had said that we are ready to discuss the issue of operation vermilion and Pahalgam attack. During the discussion on these issues, everyone saw how the opposition’s attitude was. ”

The Union Minister said, “It has to be said with sadness that those who were the champions of Manipur today expressed strong opposition instead of discussing the issue of Manipur.” Their attitude is that either they should be heard or they will disrupted. This is not correct.”

After this, after brief discussion, the House passed the re -adjustment bill of “Goa State, Assembly Constituency Scheduled Tribes Representation” after brief discussion. After the passage of this bill, many members raised their issues related to public importance through special mention. Fresh data has been released by the Election Commission of India (ECI) under the special intensive revision i.e. SIR process running in Bihar. According to these data, the names of more than 52 lakh voters of Bihar will not be in the voter list on August 1. Maybe this figure will increase further during the next three days.

More than 52 lakhs found during special intensive revision are the voters who are no longer found at their address. Apart from this, these include dead voters, transferred voters, voters whose names are recorded in more than one place and whose names could not be known.

According to the new official data released by the Election Commission of India, 18,66,869 dead voters have been found during the special intensive revision (SIR) in Bihar. Apart from this, 26,01,031 transferred voters in the new data, 7,50,742 voters whose names are registered in more than one place and 11,484 are voters which could not be known.

More than 7 crore forms digitized

In this context, this number belongs to more than 52 lakh voters. This number is 6.62 percent of the total voters (7,89,69,844). At the same time, 7,16,04,102 counting forms have been received so far, which is 90.67 percent of the total voters. Of these, 90.37 percent i.e. 7,13,65,460 forms have been digitized.

According to the official data of the Election Commission, now that three days are left, but so far 2.70 percent i.e. 21,35,616 voters are those who have not yet filled their calculations form.
