Waqf amendment bill 2025: In the Lok Sabha today (April 02, 2025) Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju introduced the Waqf Amendment Bill. On the one hand, the opposition is opposing this bill, in the meantime an old video of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In this, they themselves are demanding a strict law about Waqf. BJP and all allies are now sharing this video.

The video that is going viral on social media is of 2010. Lalu Yadav is saying in Parliament saying, “See the law should be made very hard. All the lands have been grabbed. It is not that there is a farming land. There was a property on Dakbangla in Patna, all the apartments have been made.

BJP MLA and Bihar government minister Nitin Naveen has also posted this video on X. He wrote, “In 2010, Lalu ji had talked about making strict laws in Parliament about Waqf himself and admitted that there is a large loot of land occupation in the name of Waqf Board, but today, the same Lalu ji’s party is opposing the Waqf Amendment Bill!”

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Samrat Chaudhary has also shared this video of Lalu Yadav on X. He wrote, “Lalu Yadav ji had admitted in Parliament in 2010 that there is heavy looting in the name of land occupation in the WAQF Board.”

Jeetan Ram Manjhi said, “Some people are opposing the Waqf Amendment Bill just because this law is bringing the government led by Narendra Modi ji. In 2010, Lalu Yadav ji had asked Lalu Yadav to enact the Waqf’s stringent laws. I urge the Indian coalition to listen carefully to Lalu ji’s words and vote in favor of the Waqf Amendment Bill 2025.”

On the other hand, Vinod Tawde wrote, “This is the politics of appeasement! In 2010, Lalu ji is saying in the Parliament himself that strict laws should be made regarding Waqf. The manipulation of property acquisition and misuse is not hidden from anyone, but today these Lalu ji’s party is opposing the Waqf Amendment Bill. The reason is only one-the politics of the vote and the politics of the votebank.

Bihar Assembly Budget Session 2025: During the budget session of Bihar Legislative Assembly on Wednesday (March 26), the opposition MLAs created a ruckus in the House about the Waqf Bill. The MLAs of the Grand Alliance reached the vel with a poster. Started demanding to withdraw the bill. Nitish Kumar started raising the slogan of ‘Break Silence’. Seeing the huge uproar, the speaker warned but the MLAs of the opposition were not ready to listen. After this, the speaker adjourned the proceedings of the House till 2 pm.

House’s proceedings will not be done on March 28

On the other hand, there will be no meeting of Bihar Legislative Assembly held on Friday (March 28, 2025). Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Chaudhary brought this proposal in the House. The proposal in the House was approved. In this way, the house will not be proceeded on Friday. The assembly proceedings will end on 27th.

Before the commencement of the proceedings of the House, in the Assembly Portico also demonstrated against the Waqf Amendment Bill with a poster-banner. Shouted slogans against the central government and Nitish. This bill is being described as a black law. It is being said to be unconstitutional. There is a demand to withdraw.
