US Iran Conflict: Tension has once again increased in West Asia. America launched another military attack on Iran on Saturday. This action was taken after the attack on a Panama-flagged oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz. America says that Iran violated the ceasefire agreement, while President Donald Trump has warned that if Iran does not agree, its existence could end.

America’s second major attack despite ceasefire

America took military action against Iran for the second consecutive day on Saturday. This attack was carried out after a drone attack on an oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz. Despite the peace agreement signed two weeks ago, tension between the two countries has increased again.

Controversy increased after attack on oil tanker

According to the US Army, there was a unilateral drone attack on the Panama-flagged oil tanker M/T Kiku at around 4:30 am. This tanker was passing near the Strait of Hormuz carrying more than two million barrels of crude oil. America held Iran responsible for this attack.

Centcom explained the reason for the action

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a statement saying that this military action was taken on the instructions of the President. According to CENTCOM, the US had taken action in response to the Iran-related attack a day earlier too, but Iran was given a chance to follow the ceasefire. Despite this, Iranian forces again launched a drone attack, after which America again took military action.

Attack on missiles, drone bases and radar stations

The US targeted Iran’s missile and drone storage bases as well as coastal radar stations. The US Army says that this action has been taken only in response to the violation of the ceasefire agreement. According to Reuters report, Iranian media has confirmed massive explosions on Sirik Island in southern Iran. This area is located very close to the Strait of Hormuz. Apart from this, a village on Qeshm Island was also targeted by American missiles.

Donald Trump’s new warning

US President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran on the social media platform Truth Social after the military action. He said that American planes have attacked Iran’s missile, drone stockpiles and radar sites for repeatedly violating the ceasefire agreement.

Trump said that if Iran does not stop its actions, America will take further major military action. He warned that if this happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran may cease to exist.

Two week old peace agreement in trouble

The ceasefire agreement signed two weeks ago is in serious trouble after US military action for the second consecutive day and allegations against Iran. The situation in West Asia seems to be worsening again and the eyes of the whole world are now fixed on the next step of America and Iran.
