On one hand, China is talking about normalizing relations with India, while on the other...

On one hand, China is talking about normalizing relations with India, while on the other hand it is busy preparing for war. Looking at the latest activities, it seems that China is planning a major war against India in the next few years. On the eastern bank of the Pangong Lake of Ladakh, he is setting up a tremendous military infrastructure and has laid the foundation of the world’s largest hydropower project on the Brahmaputra River (China Yarlung Zhangbo, which flows in the Northeast). That is, China is currently preparing to surround India on two fronts, one military pressure and the other strategic water control.

China’s dangerous military construction near Pangong Lake
According to Open Source Intelligence (OSNIT), satellite photographs make it clear that China is building a large military complex on the eastern bank of Pangong Lake, which is almost complete. China has built deep garages in this complex, where armored vehicles and missile trucks can be hidden. Apart from this, a highway -like structure has been created, which can be used as a launching platform or radar.

OSNIT has also reported that this military structure is located near a radar site and can be used for SAM i.e. Surface to Air Missile System or other weapons. Experts say that if China develops airstrikes and monitoring capacity from here, it can affect India’s strategic freedom.

This infrastructure of China is becoming a strategic threat
According to intelligence reports, China is preparing the region in such a way that missiles and other strategic weapons can be safely placed there. If China can monitor India’s airspace from here and gain the ability to attack with missiles, then it will be a big threat to India’s military power. This structure seems to be a part of a strategic strategy against India.

China laid the foundation of the world’s largest dam on Brahmaputra
The reason for the second concern for India is the new hydropower project of China on the Brahmaputra River. On July 19, Chinese Prime Minister Lee Kyang laid the foundation stone of Medog Hydropower Station, which is going to become the largest dam in the world. This dam will generate three times more electricity than China’s already three george dams. The estimated cost of this project is $ 167 billion and it will be ready in the next ten years.

China is describing it as necessary for energy and development, but experts believe that this is a strategy against India. This dam is being built in an area adjacent to Arunachal Pradesh in India and a tunnel road comes very close to the border of India, causing a direct threat to the northeastern borders of India.

Water-de-addiction and flood threat also increased
Another major concern of India is that China has not yet signed a water-sharing agreement on the Brahmaputra River. This means that India does not get information about the water flow of this river, due to which the danger of sudden floods increases further. Experts believe that this dam may be a part of China’s strategy to use water as a weapon during war. A Chinese social media user wrote – “It is a power project in peace, but in the war? … I will not say anything, understand.” This statement is a serious sign about China’s intention.

Dual trick to surround India!
It is clear that China is preparing to surround India at two levels. On the one hand, India’s security is being challenged by creating a military base on Pangong Lake, on the other hand, water is being made weapons by making dams on the Brahmaputra. Both these strategies are a serious threat to India’s geopolitical and strategic status. India will now have to be alert and answer this threat at strategic, diplomatic and military level.

Kabul water crisis: Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, can become the first such modern capital...

Kabul water crisis: Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, can become the first such modern capital in the world, where the water can be completely eliminated by 2030. This warning is given in a report by Mercy Corps. The report said that due to climate change, excess exploitation, random urbanization and government negligence, this crisis has become deeper.

Excessive water harness
The more groundwater extracts every year, it is 44 million cubic meters more than its natural reproduction. This is the reason that about half of the city’s borewells have already dried up. Experts say that if this situation does not change, ground water can be completely eliminated by 2030.

Population growth became a big reason
Three decades ago, Kabul’s population was less than 20 lakhs. But after 2001, it has increased a huge increase. As the population increased, the demand for water also increased, while the city is almost completely dependent on ground water. But this ground water is ending rapidly.

Not just water crisis, health crisis also
More than 80% of Kabul’s groundwater supply is polluted. People are constantly getting diseases like diarrhea, vomiting by drinking this water. A government employee from Timani district said that his family often becomes ill after drinking water in the restaurant or brushing at home.

Essential things have to be left for water
Many families have to leave food and drink to buy pure water or to dig up expensive borewells. And those who cannot afford this expense, either bring water from mosques or depend on tankers.

Status for women even more serious
Due to the Taliban rule, women are not allowed to go out alone. In such a situation, it has become even more difficult for women to bring water. A 42 -year -old woman said that ‘We do not have drinking water at all. It is affecting our life badly.

Hindu Kush’s glaciers are not getting water
Earlier the water supply of Kabul was caused by snowfall and snowfall coming from the Hindu Kush mountain, which was filled with groundwater. Now snow falls less there, and its place comes in uncontrollable floods, which do not help in recharging groundwater.

Political instability and help
American aid in Afghanistan stopped after the Taliban returned to power in 2021, including USAID help. Due to this, many important projects related to water and hygiene have stopped. This has made the situation even more serious.

Unicef Warning
Unicef has already warned that if water exploitation and mismanagement continue like this, Kabul will become a groundwater -free city by 2030. This can create not only water crisis, but also health, human and social crisis.

Pakistan on indus water treatment: Pakistan has accused India of unilaterally weakening the Indus Water...

Pakistan on indus water treatment: Pakistan has accused India of unilaterally weakening the Indus Water Treaty in the 25th Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) session of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The session focused on the subject of ‘Right to Water’, in which Pakistan’s permanent representative Syed Fawad Sher expressed concern about India’s attitude.

Pakistan said – India’s water policy will increase regional crisis
Syed Fawad Sher said in his address that an attempt to unilaterally change the rules of Indus Water Treaty by India can create a serious crisis for Pakistan, which is already facing water crisis.

He said that the right to water is not only legal, but also morally and socially important, and India’s strict stance can further increase the climate -related climate challenges in South Asia.

OC and International Forums Support
Fawad Sher also reminded that OC’s foreign ministers have already expressed concern about India’s decision. Apart from this, many countries and organizations of the world have appealed to continue the Indus Water Treaty. He reiterated that Pakistan will continue to raise this issue on international forums to protect its water rights.

India increased the speed of Indus water project
After the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indus Water Treaty is currently cold and in the meantime India has started working fast on four big hydropower projects in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the report of Hindustan Times, work is going on on the banks of the Chenab river on Pakal Dul, Kiru, Quar and Ratle projects. These projects can start between May 2026 to July 2028. Apart from this, the design of two more hydroelectric projects is also being prepared. India clearly says, till the Pakistan does not stop supporting terrorism across the border, these projects will continue to grow at full pace.

Kabul water crisis: Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, may face a huge water shortage in...

Kabul water crisis: Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, may face a huge water shortage in the coming few years. A new report states that this city with 71 lakh population can dry up completely in the coming 5 years. That is, it will be difficult for people to get water to drink here too.

This warning has been given by non-profit organization Mercy Corps. According to the report, excessive exploitation of ground water, climate change and rapidly growing population have brought this city to the mouth of water crisis. Now the big question is whether the Taliban government can deal with this crisis? Does he have the necessary technology, money and plan to save water? This has raised doubts in the report.

Water level falls by 25-30 meters in 10 years

A report published in April 2025 warns that if this situation prevails, then by 2030 all the water sources of Kabul can dry up. This will not only make it impossible to meet the water needs of the city, but about 30 lakh people may have to leave their homes.

According to the report, in the last decade, the ground water level of Kabul has declined from 25 to 30 meters (about 82 to 98 ft). This decline is due to the slow speed of water and the slow pace of natural recharge.

Crisis on existence by 2030

It has been said in the report that if this situation continues, then there will be no water left in Kabul by 2030. This will directly affect the existence of the city. Three million i.e. 30 lakh people can be homeless and they may have to go somewhere else in compulsion.

What are the real reasons behind Kabul’s water crisis?

The serious water crisis that Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, is not just the natural cause, but also policy failures and socio-political changes. Experts believe that this crisis is of many layers, which includes many factor from climate to governance.

Increased pressure on climate change and resources

According to experts, due to climate change, there has been a huge change in snowfall and rain patterns, due to which the groundwater level is going down. On the other hand, the pressure of resources present on the rapidly growing population of Kabul is increasing. According to the report, in 2001, where the city had a population of about 10 lakhs, today it has been more than 70 lakhs.

Governance failures became a big challenge

The policy failure of the Afghan government and administration has also come to light to stop the water crisis. The situation continued to deteriorate due to non -taking concrete steps on ground water management, water conservation and urban planning front. Experts say that the Taliban rule has neither necessary expertise nor resources, due to which the situation is getting out of control.

Delhi water supply: The Delhi government is going to take major action to deal with water theft in the capital. On Sunday (April 20), the Delhi government will flag off water tankers with 1,000 GPS from Nirankari Maidan in Burari to various areas of the capital and each tanker will be monitored directly from the command center to ensure water supply on time.

According to the Delhi government, these tankers will be sent to the settlements, colonies and areas where there is a severe water shortage or where the pipeline does not exist and through the GPS system installed in the tankers, their location, speed and delivery time will be directly monitored by the Delhi Government’s Water Ministry.

Water Minister Pravesh Sahib Singh said, “We are working with full force towards realizing the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘water on time to every house’. The government is fully committed to free Delhi from water crisis. GPS -rich tankers are symbols of transparency, timeliness and accountability. Our resolve is that no citizens are deprived of water.”

The Water Minister said that a state -of -the -art command center has been set up to monitor the activities of the tankers, from where every tanker’s actions will be monitored in real time. Apart from this, water theft, ruin and irregularities are also being strictly monitored to improve the water distribution system. This scheme is part of the widespread strategy of the Delhi Water Ministry, under which the water supply system in the entire capital is being made modern and transparent. This initiative of GPS tankers will not only make water distribution smooth, but will also establish accountability in the entire system.

Vasundhara raje in jhalawar: Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Vasundhara Raje was on a visit to Jhalavad when he reprimanded the officials there for the water crisis.
Vasundhara Raje further said, “The public is distressed due to the drinking water crisis in the summer. The officers are satisfied.
Ppp vs government: The controversy has increased once again over the construction of canals on...

Ppp vs government: The controversy has increased once again over the construction of canals on the Indus River in Pakistan. The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has announced to organize protest rallies in all districts of Sindh province on 25 March. This protest will be done against the canal construction scheme of the federal government, which the party has termed ‘dictatorship’. The PPP alleged that the federal government is trying to harm the important water sources associated with the Indus River without any constitutional approval.

According to local media reports, PPP-Sindh president Nisar Ahmed Khuhro announced this protest during a press conference held in Sindh Assembly campus on Friday (March 21). Khuhro condemned the federal government and said that this step is against the Constitution and democratic principles. He warned the government that if these canal projects were not stopped, the government would be forced to leave the scheme as a result of the PPP protests. Khuhro said, ‘The purpose of our protest is to force the government to withdraw from this controversial scheme.’

PPP protest against canals

Khuhro also said that the people of Sindh and all political parties should join the struggle against the canal project. He said, ‘The united voice of the people of Sindh will affect this issue’. The PPP also made it clear that they are against the canals on the Indus River, but they are in favor of fair and fair delimitation. He says that if these projects are implemented, Sindh province can be deprived of water supply forever because the existence of Sindh is directly connected to the Indus River.

PPP described the Cholistan Canal as a dictatorial step

The PPP leader said that the federal government has started constructing the Cholistan Canal without any constitutional platform approval, which is a dictatorial step. According to Pakistan’s leading newspaper Dawn, the PPP had already rejected the federal government’s plan to build six new canals on the Indus River. After this, many rallies were organized in Sindh earlier this week, in which the protesters protested against the project and warned that the move will have a serious impact on Sindh water.
