Yellow alert issued for Thursday and Friday

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light rain and strong winds in the capital from Wednesday (March 18) to Friday (March 20). There is a possibility of drop in temperature during this period. IMD has issued yellow alert for Thursday and Friday. The speed of winds can reach 40 to 50 kilometers per hour and there may be light rain at times. The Meteorological Department has advised people to be cautious in view of the changing weather.

According to the Meteorological Department, a weak western disturbance is active at this time, due to which many areas may remain cloudy. Rain alert in Haryana and Punjab

There has been rain and hailstorm in many districts of Punjab during the last 36 hours, due to which the cold has increased further. There is a possibility of rain in Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar and Mohali in the next few hours. The minimum temperature here can be 5 to 6 degrees and the maximum can be around 22 degrees Celsius.

Fog wreaks havoc in UP and Bihar

Rain and hailstorm alert has been issued in about 25 districts of Uttar Pradesh including Agra and Moradabad divisions. There may be light drizzle along with thunder and lightning in Central UP. At the same time, the effect of winter continues in Bihar and there is dense fog in many districts. The Meteorological Department has advised people to remain alert in view of cold and fog.
