There is a possibility of rain in UP-Bihar

The weather has taken a U-turn in Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of light rain in many districts of eastern UP, which will provide relief to people from the heat. According to IMD, there are chances of rain on April 18 in 10 districts including Varanasi, Mirzapur, Prayagraj of UP, while the weather can remain the same on April 19 and 20. According to Patna Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of rain in many districts of Bihar with strong winds during the next 24 hours.

There is a possibility of heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilagit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh. On April 18, rain is expected in the plains of Chhattisgarh with thunderstorms, electricity and strong winds. Assam and Meghalaya may receive heavy rainfall from April 21 to April 22.

Yellow alert continues for heat in Mumbai

The northeastern states are expected to continue rain with thunder and electricity during 8-12 April. The IMD on Monday issued a Yellow alert for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg over the scorching heat. IMD has advised people living in Pune not to leave from 11 am to 4 pm. The maximum temperature at Pune’s irongaon was recorded at 42.2 degrees Celsius, which is the highest temperature of this year. IMD has also predicted rain in Bengaluru till 12 April.
