It is extremely hot in many states of the country at this time. Meanwhile, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of heavy rain in 15 states. According to the Meteorological Department, conditions are being created for the monsoon to reach the south-eastern Arabian Sea, Andaman Sea, south-eastern Bay of Bengal and other areas. In many states, winds may blow at a speed of 70 km per hour and it may also rain.

According to IMD, due to monsoon, there may be heavy rains in Lakshadweep, Kerala, Assam, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu and other northeastern states. Heatwave alert has been issued in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The mercury in Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, UP, Rajasthan and Delhi is expected to reach 46 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.

Delhi weather
There is severe heat wave these days in the capital Delhi and surrounding areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave alert till May 25. According to IMD, hot winds can blow at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour. Apart from this, the day temperature can reach 46 degrees. However, light rain has also occurred in Delhi, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Noida and Faridabad.

When will it rain in UP
In Uttar Pradesh, IMD has issued a heatwave alert from 23 to 28 May. The mercury can reach around 46 degrees in Fatehpur, Unnao, Etawah, Mirzapur, Kannauj, Banda, Chitrakoot, Mahoba, Rath and Kanpur. Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Basti, Ayodhya. There is no possibility of rain in Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Sonbhadra, Bhadohi, Sultanpur, Amethi and Barabanki.

There may be light rain at many places in Bihar adjacent to UP today. Heavy rain is expected on 25th May. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain in Darbhanga, Gaya, Madhubani, Purnia and Bhagalpur on 24-25 May.

rain in punjab today
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light rain in Pathankot and Amritsar of Punjab today. There is no sign of respite from the heat in Ludhiana, Patiala, Bathinda and Mohali. Heat wave alert has also been issued in Haryana till May 25.
