The Meteorological Department has once again issued a big alert regarding rain and storm in many parts of the country. A total of 22 states and union territories, from Delhi to Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir to the North-Eastern states, have been warned of bad weather. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rain, thunder, lightning and strong winds are expected in many areas in the coming days. At some places, the wind speed can reach up to 70 kilometers per hour, due to which life can be affected and there is a danger of damage to farmers’ crops.

The states where the Meteorological Department has issued an alert include Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Punjab, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura.

Delhi-NCR will get relief from scorching heat and heat wave

Talking about Delhi-NCR, people here are hopeful of getting some relief from the scorching heat and heat wave. According to IMD, there will be continuous changes in the weather between June 23 and 26. The sky will be cloudy and there may be light rain at many places along with strong winds. On June 23, the maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to be 38 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 26 degrees Celsius. The weather is expected to remain the same on June 24 and 25, although the temperature may increase slightly from June 26.

Weather is going to change in Uttar Pradesh

The weather is going to change in Uttar Pradesh also. Alert of light rain and storm has been issued in many districts including Meerut, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Aligarh, Agra, Mathura, Hamirpur, Kushinagar, Basti, Kanpur, Jhansi, Ayodhya, Rampur, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj and Varanasi. In these areas, strong winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in Lucknow on June 23 is expected to be 40 degrees and minimum 31 degrees Celsius.

How is the weather condition of Bihar going to be?

The weather looks more active in Bihar. Warning of heavy rain and strong storm has been issued in Gaya, East Champaran, West Champaran, Buxar, Bhojpur, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Purnia, Supaul, Saharsa, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Munger and Araria. Here winds can blow at a speed of 50 to 55 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in Patna is likely to be 38 degrees and minimum 29 degrees Celsius.

Weather is going to get bad in Himachal Pradesh

Bad weather is expected in Himachal Pradesh also. There may be rain and thundershowers in Shimla, Sundernagar, Kangra, Jot and Murari Devi. There is also a possibility of lightning in some areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi and Shimla for the next four days. There is a possibility of strong winds and rain in these areas. There is also a possibility of snowfall in Chamba district.

Weather conditions in desert areas

There is a danger of heavy rain and storm in many districts of Rajasthan. Alert has been issued in Churu, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Tonk, Bikaner, Udaipur, Ajmer, Dungarpur, Sriganganagar, Baran, Karauli, Alwar and Kota. In these areas, strong winds can blow at a speed of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in Jaipur on June 23 is expected to be 37 degrees and the minimum will be 28 degrees Celsius.

Heavy rain expected in Tamil Nadu

The weather remains active in Tamil Nadu also. Due to the formation of cyclonic circulation in some parts of South India, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Coimbatore, Nilgiri, Dindigul, Theni and Sivagangai districts from 23 to 26 June. There can be storms, lightning and strong winds up to 40 kilometers per hour. Rain is likely to continue at many places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal till June 27.

Lightning warning in Northeast India

In Arunachal Pradesh too, there has been a warning of rain and lightning in many districts. The weather may be worse in West Kameng, East Kameng, Papum Pare, West Siang, Lower Dibang Valley, Lohit and Namsai districts. Apart from this, similar weather is also expected in East Siang, Upper Siang, Lower Siang, Dibang Valley, Anjav, Changlang, Tirap and Longding districts. Heavy to very heavy rains may continue in Northeast India in the coming days. Especially in Assam and Meghalaya, the Meteorological Department has issued a serious warning. There is a possibility of widespread rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till June 28. There is a possibility of thunder and lightning in these states between June 23 and June 26.
