Mithun Chakraborty Makes Major Statement: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Bollywood actor Mithun is busy campaigning for the West Bengal Assembly elections 2026. He recently said in one of his statements, ‘As long as there is a drop of blood in my body, no mother’s son can turn West Bengal into Bangladesh.’ Also, Mithun targeted Trinamool Congress (TMC) on SIR and voter list controversy. He supported the decision to give tickets to local candidates and called it important for victory. Mithun Chakraborty said on illegal infiltration in West Bengal

When Mithun Chakraborty was asked about Union Home Minister Amit Shah raising the issue of illegal infiltrators in West Bengal, he agreed that illegal infiltration in the state still remains a matter of serious concern. He said that this issue is affecting the local communities, which also includes Muslim citizens. Especially in matters of employment and welfare schemes.
