<p style="text-align: justify;">Voting will be held again for the West Bengal Assembly elections on Saturday (May 2, 2026) at 15 polling booths of South 24 Parganas. Voting will be held from 7 am to 6 pm at 11 polling booths of Magrahat West and four polling booths of Diamond Harbour. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Voting on these seats was held in the second phase on April 29, which the Election Commission has canceled and announced to conduct re-voting. The Election Commission said that complaints of irregularities were received during voting at these polling booths on April 29, after which this decision was taken. The decision to conduct re-voting has been taken based on the reports received from the returning officers and observers of Magrahat West Assembly Constituency and Diamond Harbor Assembly Constituency. </p>

<p>During voting on April 29, incidents of violence were also reported from Basanti area of ​​South 24 Parganas. Here an attack was carried out targeting Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Vikas Sardar. According to the information, the BJP candidate&#8217;s car was vandalized in Basanti, which created a tense situation there. The incident took place at booth number 76, where BJP candidate Vikas Sardar was allegedly attacked while visiting the booth.</p>
