Arun Govil On Ramayan And Ranbir Kapoor: Whenever there is talk of ‘Ramayana’ serial, the face of actor Arun Govil first comes to mind. He gained popularity in every household by playing the character of Lord Shri Ram in Ramayana. Now after almost four decades, he will be seen on the big screen in the role of King Dasharatha, father of Lord Ram. Whereas Ranbir Kapoor will be seen playing the role of Lord Shri Ram in it. Now in a conversation, Arun Govil has praised Ranbir while talking about Ramayana and Ranbir Kapoor.

Arun Govil called Ranbir Kapoor a good actor

Actor and BJP MP Arun Govil recently praised Ranbir in a conversation with Variety India, saying, ‘As for Ram, I won’t be able to tell anything about him, but he is a good actor, there is no doubt about it. He is also a good person. As I said earlier, every actor plays every character in his own way and he must have played the character of Lord Ram in his own unique style.

Said a big thing on the criticism of Ranbir’s look

Arun also reacted to the criticism after the first look of Ranbir Kapoor from Ramayana was revealed. He said, ‘Perhaps one reason for this is that my acting as Lord Ram had become an example. It is still present in the hearts and minds of people. No one wants to see another Ram. You know, my Ramayana goes on somewhere all the time. Even today, whenever fairs and shows are held in North and Central India and pictures of Ram are sold, my face is on them. Therefore, it does not seem appropriate for me to talk about any actor acting as Lord Ram.

When will ‘Ramayana’ be released?

Ramayana is being made in two parts and its total budget is Rs 4 thousand crores. The first part will be released on Diwali this year. Whereas the second part will come on Diwali of 2027. It is being directed by Manish Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra.
