New drug CBPD-409

To stop this process, scientists have prepared a medicine named CBPD-409. This medicine completely destroys both p300 and CBP proteins. After this the H2BNTac tags disappear and the cancer genes are no longer active. Earlier drugs partially blocked these proteins, whereas this new drug destroys them completely.

The cells in which more H2BNTac was found in lab tests turned out to be more sensitive to this drug. This medicine also proved effective in experiments conducted on rats.
