Farhan had expressed confidence in Ranveer
Actually, according to the report of India Today, a source has said that there is a misunderstanding regarding the situation related to the film. According to the report, the source revealed, “Actually, the story is different. Initially, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar had offered him Don 3 after three big flops. He stood by Sanjay Leela Bhansali even after Baiju Bawra was shelved because he was considered unsellable at that time.”

Quoting the report, the source further said, “Don 3 is the most popular franchise, and Ranveer was playing the role of not only Shah Rukh Khan, but also veteran actors like Amitabh Bachchan. It is a dream role for any actor.” Talking about Farhan Akhtar’s faith in Ranveer, the source said, “Farhan was the only filmmaker who expressed faith in Ranveer while others backed out. This was at a time when Dhurandhar had not even released.”
