Thyroid hormone controls our body&#8217;s energy, weight and metabolism, but when there is a disturbance in it, many problems like fatigue, weight gain, mood swings and joint pain start. In such a situation, if there is even a little carelessness in the diet, the situation can worsen. So today let us tell you what things a thyroid patient should not eat even by mistake and how one mistake can increase the problem. </p>
<p><strong>What is thyroid and how does it affect the body?</strong></p>
<p>The thyroid gland present in the neck produces T3 and T4 hormones in the body, which control metabolism and energy levels. When this gland does not function properly then two types of problems arise. First is hypothyroidism in which hormones are produced less and second is hyperthyroidism in which hormones are produced in excess. In both the conditions, eating habits have a direct impact on health.</p>

<p>Thyroid patients should not consume red meat. The excess cholesterol and saturated fat present in it can cause rapid weight gain. There is already a problem of weight gain in thyroid, in such a situation red meat can increase the problem further. </p>
