Sawan is the fifth month of the Hindu calendar, which is dedicated to Shiva worship. This year Sawan is from 11 July to 9 August 2025. It is auspicious to worship Shiva daily in Sawan. But Sawan Monday fast has special religious significance.

On the Monday, the devotees who fall in Sawan keep a fast with full devotion and devotion, so that the blessings of Shiva can be found. But inadvertently, if the fast is fragmented or breaks, what should be done in such a situation?

Many doubts and questions arise in the mind when the fast is broken by mistake. But some remedies have been mentioned in the scriptures for the mistakes made inadvertently, so that you can be blamed. Also, after taking these measures, the virtue of your fast will not go in vain.

Excavable- Inadvertently, if there is a mistake during worship or if the fast is broken, then we should first apologize to God for this. God forgives God for apologizing for an unknown mistake with folded hands.

Resolve the fast- If the fast of Sawan Monday is broken in the first place, then you can complete the fast on the same day or the next day. Such fast has been called atonement fast in the scriptures.

Chant the mantra- It has been told in the Shiva Purana that, if the Sawan is fasted by the fast on Monday, then the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra should be chanted more and more. With this, Shiva is pleased and forgives the mistake and removes the faults.

Donate- If the fast is broken by mistake, then donate it to the poor or the needy according to your ability. You can also donate in the temple. Donation is considered to be the best way to get mental peace and atonement of sins.
