WhatsApp Feature: A new feature is about to come on the messaging platform WhatsApp. With its help, users will be able to change the blank profile picture of their contacts who have removed their DP. Its advantage will be that the user will be able to set the profile picture on every such contact as per his wish. This will make it easier to identify users with similar names and there will be no fear of messages going to other users while chatting. This WhatsApp feature will be useful even when a user has not set his profile image.

How will the new WhatsApp feature work?

According to reports, Meta-owned WhatsApp is currently working on a new feature. Initially it will be rolled out for some users, who will be able to change the blank profile picture of the contacts saved in their phone. Users will be able to set the contact card photo saved in their phone’s address book on WhatsApp. This change will be limited to the user only. This means that other users of WhatsApp will not see this image. This will make it easier to identify contacts. Now this feature has been rolled out for some beta users.

When will this feature come to other users?

According to reports, WhatsApp has just rolled out this feature for some beta users on iOS. Based on the feedback received from them, some changes can be made in it. After this it will be rolled out for the users in a phased manner. It is important to mention that Meta has not said anything officially regarding this yet.

WhatsApp users will soon get a new privacy feature

WhatsApp is also working on a new privacy feature for its users. In this, the messages will be automatically deleted after some time after being read. Currently, the feature of disappearing messages is available in WhatsApp, but the new update will be much faster and advanced than that. Under this feature, the message can be automatically deleted within about 15 minutes of being read. Whereas if the message is not opened then it can get automatically deleted within 24 hours. However, this message can be copied and there will be no restriction on taking screenshots. In such a situation, this feature will have to be used wisely. Currently testing of this feature is going on.
