WhatsApp has released the beta version for iOS under 25.10.10.70 Testflight program, in which a new educated chat privacy feature is being developed. According to a WhatsApp features tracker report, this setting can be activated in any individual or group chat, after which the media files of that chat will not be saved in the device’s gallery and the export option of the chat will be completely blocked.

WABETAINFO in Android’s latest beta version for iOS saw Is. This feature will be made available to iOS users soon, although no date of public rollout is yet decided. This setting will be completely optional and can be turned on/off separately for each chat. As soon as a user setting changes, an automated notification will be sent to all chats so that everyone can get information about the change.

The report states that this new privacy feature is for users who do not want to allow their chats to be saved, shares or archives. When it is active, no media file (photo, video, etc.) will not go to the gallery. Also, there will be no option to export the entire chat out in any format. This rule will also apply to Meta AI interaction in chats, which will be completely discontinued in this mode.

However, Whatsapp is providing the facility that any individual message can be forwarded. According to the company, the aim of the feature is not to lock every message, but it is to stop that a user can transfer the entire chat somewhere else. For this reason, WhatsApp has refused to implement limiting settings like screenshot detection. According to the report, this feature is currently in the development phase and further changes can be made before the final release.
