Directed by Laxman Utekar, this historic action film is based on the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire. The film stars Sambhaji Maharaj’s iconic character Vicky Kaushal. In the film, Akshaye Khanna also plays the role of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.

Chhava has grossed 790.14 crore rupees (US $ 92 million) worldwide and its collection in the domestic market is more than 600 crores. With this, it has become the highest grossing Indian film of 2025.
