India Sir: On October 27, the Election Commission of India has announced the special intensive revision of the second phase. After Bihar, now this second phase revision is to be done in 12 states and union territories between November and February.

The process of the second phase of SIR will start from November 4 and will continue till February 7, in which all the processes from enumeration to releasing the final draft list will be done. In such a situation, let us know in which states SIR will be conducted this time and which documents will the BLO ask for after coming to your house?

What documents are required in SIR Phase 2?

Like Bihar SIR, in the SIR process of Phase 2 too, booth level officers will go to people’s homes and get the forms filled. During this time BLO can ask for 12 documents from you. This is the complete list of those 12 documents.

1. Any ID card/regular employee or pensioner payment order issued by Central or State Government
2. ID/Certificate/Document issued by Government of India/Local Authority/Banks/Post Office/LIC
3. Passport
4. Birth Certificate
5. Forest Rights Certificate
6. Permanent Residence Certificate
7. OBC/SC/ST/Any Cast Certificate
8. National Registrar of Citizens
9. Family Registrar issued by State or Local Authority
10. Any government paper related to house or land
11. Aadhaar Card

In which states will SIR Phase 2 be conducted?

Phase 2 of Special Intensive Revision is to be conducted in a total of 12 states and UTs. These 12 states include Andaman Nicobar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Out of these 12, assembly elections are also to be held in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry and Uttar Pradesh in 2026. This time the SIR process is going to start from 4th November and continue till 4th December. Then the draft of electoral rolls will be released on 9th December. After this, time has been given till January 8, 2026 for corrections and objections in this list. Finally, the final draft list of SIR Phase 2 will be released on February 7, 2026. The people included in this list will be the final voters and will be able to cast their vote. For this process, BLOs will visit everyone’s house at least 3 times so that no eligible voter is left out. During this process, new electors will have to fill Form 6. Also, Form 7 will be filled for deletion and Form 8 for correction.
