Some companies decided to withdraw the product

The investigation into this matter began in 2023, when a CDC report found that yellow oleander was mixed in some products being sold in the name of tejocote root. The FDA fears that there may be many more such products present in the market, which are being sold under different names but may contain the same poisonous element.
