In a detailed report by New York Times, Trump’s claim was questioned that “white farmers are being made a victim of genocide in South Africa”. According to the report, 225 deaths occurred in the fields from April 2020 to March 2024. Of these, 101 were laborers (mostly blacks). 53 white farmers were also killed. Police and human rights organizations have described Trump’s claims as propaganda and political stunts.
