However, suddenly their marriage broke, which surprised everyone. Now director and producer Sunil Darshan has made a big revelation regarding their relationship.

Why couldn’t Abhishek-Karishma’s marriage happen?

Recently Sunil Darshan gave an interview to Hindi Rush. During this, he spoke openly about the broken relationship between Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor. Let us tell you that Abhishek and Karisma had accepted their relationship in front of everyone on Amitabh Bachchan’s 60th birthday. Later both of them got engaged. However this engagement was soon broken.

The blame for the broken engagement was sometimes given to Jaya Bachchan and sometimes to Karishma’s mother and actress Babita. Regarding this issue, Darshan now said, ‘People blame Babita ji, Jaya ji, Karishma or Abhishek, but I think these things should be left to fate. Their relationship had many ups and downs. Love is expressed in different ways for different couples and every relationship has its own temperament. There was disagreement between the two on many things.

Where did Karisma Kapoor go after her engagement broke?

Sunil Darshan has worked with Karisma Kapoor in films like ‘Jaanwar’, ‘Ek Rishta: The Bond of Love’ and ‘Ha Maine Bhi Pyar Kiya’ and he has known Karisma very closely. He also revealed that when Abhishek and Karishma’s engagement was broken, he was at Karishma’s house. He said that it is sad that the marriage could not take place.

Sunil told that after the breakup, Karisma Kapoor had gone to New York, America to celebrate the New Year. She said that after this suddenly news came that she was marrying businessman Sanjay Kapoor. Sunil said that he did not understand this decision of Karishma.

Married in 2003, divorced in 2016

Karisma married Sanjay Kapoor in the year 2003. After this the couple welcomed two children, a daughter Samaira and a son Kiaan Raja Kapoor. However, Karishma and Sanjay got divorced in the year 2016.
