As soon as the winter season begins, the splendor of farming also increases. Farmers are increasingly turning towards crops growing in low temperatures, because in this season, not only is the yield good, but vegetables are also available at good prices in the market. The special thing is that in winter there are not just one or two but many vegetables which can be cultivated on a commercial level and farmers can earn good profits. In such a situation, let us tell you today that

Which vegetables are most beneficial in winter?

According to experts, vegetables like tomato, capsicum, brinjal, cucumber, loki, fenugreek, spinach, radish, carrot, pea, turnip, cabbage, cauliflower, cabbage, beetroot, mustard, coriander, green chilli, bitter gourd, parwal, tinda and okra can be cultivated in winter. Some of these crops are sown in November, while sowing of some is considered better in December and January also.

Peas and cauliflower can yield good profits in winter

Green peas are counted among the most famous winter crops. Its sowing is done between October to December and the crop is ready in 70 to 90 days. At the same time, the demand for cauliflower also increases significantly during the cold season. With proper care, its production in one acre is good and it fetches better prices in the market.

Vegetables prepared in less time are also beneficial

Vegetables like spinach and beetroot are prepared in less time and they do not cost much. Spinach crop is ready for harvesting in 30 to 40 days, while beetroot becomes ready to sell in the market in 60 to 70 days. The demand for these vegetables remains throughout the winter season. In such a situation, you can also cultivate spinach and beetroot during the winter season.

Modern farming can also increase profits

High value vegetables like broccoli are also becoming popular among farmers. Due to increasing demand for it in big cities and hotels, farmers are getting good returns. With modern technology and sowing at the right time, more profits can be earned from these vegetables than traditional crops.

Keep these things in mind before farming in winter

Experts say that proper preparation of soil is very important for good yield of winter vegetables. A balanced mixture of soil, cow dung or compost and sand or coco peat in the field is considered better for the crop. Apart from this, both the quality and production of the crop can be increased by timely irrigation, use of organic fertilizers and pest control.
