Renuka Chaudhary told NDTV, ‘It should be kept in mind that both of them had given their speeches in the House on different issues, so any kind of comparison would be absolutely nonsense psychologically, however, people are completely free to express their opinion.’

He said, ‘Priyanka Gandhi is very good, she said whatever she had to say in the House. If we talk about Rahul Gandhi, he talked on a different issue and his style is also different. Reiterating his point, he said, ‘It is like comparing apples and oranges. This does not happen. Both of them expressed their views on different subjects in the House.

Both raised issues in their own way: Renuka Chaudhary

Renuka Chaudhary further said, ‘We become too conservative and expect a certain kind of reaction that it should be like this, but it does not happen. Different people express their views on things in different ways. I think both of them raised important issues in their own way.

However, when he was asked a question about being a better speaker, he refused to take the name of any one and said that the styles of both are so different that it would not be right to call any one of them better or lesser.

In the winter session of Parliament, the country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh discussed the national song Vande Mataram on Monday (December 8, 2025). He said, “Today, when we are celebrating the 150th year of Vande Mataram, we have to accept the truth that the justice that should have been done was not done. Today in independent India, the national anthem and the national song should have got equal status, out of which one got a place in the mainstream, but the other song was fragmented and marginalized. It was seen as an extra.”

During Rajnath Singh’s address in the Lok Sabha, when a member interrupted him, the Defense Minister got enraged and reprimanded him severely. He said, “In 1937, Congress had decided to break the song. All generations should know about the political deceit and injustice done to Vande Mataram. Now returning the glory of Vande Mataram is the need of the hour and also a demand of morality. Despite this injustice, the importance of Vande Mataram could not diminish. It has become a form of life.”

Vande Mataram became the immortal song of national spirit – Rajnath

Rajnath Singh in the Lok Sabha said, “Vande Mataram is complete in itself, but an attempt was made to make it incomplete. It has become the immortal song of national spirit and it will remain so forever, no power can diminish it. The injustice done to Vande Mataram was not an isolated incident, it was the politics of appeasement, which was adopted by the Congress and the politics led to the division of the country and weakened the unity over communal harmony after independence.”

He said, “Today we are restoring the dignity of Vande Mataram, but some people may try to create a narrative that a wall is being built between Vande Mataram and Jana Gana, such an attempt shows a divisive mentality. Vande Mataram and Jana Gana Mana are the cries, two eyes, of the two sons of Mother India. Both Vande Mataram and Jana Gana Mana are national pride.”

He said, “Those who neither understand the origin of civilization, those who neither accept the importance of culture, those who ignored traditions, they neither could understand earlier nor are able to understand now. This celebration of the anniversary is not a show, it is a pledge to give proper respect to Vande Mataram. Today we have to correct this mistake. We have to get rid of political prejudice. He said, “Vande Mataram and Anandmath were never against Islam. These lines of Vande Mataram seemed communal and political because they were looking through the lens of Jinnah. These lines of Vande Mataram symbolize the soul of India.”

During the winter session of Parliament, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has given a big statement on the Indigo crisis in the Rajya Sabha on Monday (December 8, 2025). Naidu has clarified in the Rajya Sabha that the recent flight cancellations and delays were the result of internal problems of the airline. He said that the Central Government will not compromise on the safety of passengers, pilots and crew. This message has been given strictly to all airlines.

The Union Minister said that Indigo Airline should have handled its crew management and roster properly in the beginning, but due to its internal complexities it created large-scale problems in the country. He clarified in the Rajya Sabha that the Central Government is not taking this situation lightly and full responsibility will be fixed for all the passengers who have faced problems.

Civil Aviation Minister’s strong message in Rajya Sabha

Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu gave a strong message in the Rajya Sabha saying that strict action will be taken against any airline company violating the rules. He said that such an example will be set which all other airlines will take seriously.

He also said that more airlines should come into the Indian market, there is huge potential in the country. It is mandatory for all airlines to follow the strict rules (CARs) made for the passengers who faced difficulties due to flight cancellations and delays.

The winter session of Parliament is starting today from 1st December. But the opposition can create ruckus regarding the issue of SIR, hence this session is also likely to be turbulent. Meanwhile, BSP supremo Mayawati has demanded to run the session in an organized manner so that issues of public interest can be discussed.

Opposition will oppose SIR

Let us tell you that the opposition is continuously attacking the central government regarding the voter list revision process in 12 states of the country. Samajwadi Party MP Ram Gopal Yadav has made it clear that if SIR is not discussed, his MPs will not allow Parliament to function. He said that this issue is being raised because many irregularities have been seen in it.

Apart from SIR, the opposition may demand discussion on many other issues including Delhi blasts, air pollution.
