Both Ayurveda and medical science believe that if small children fall ill due to cold, then giving steam is the most effective treatment because taking steam reduces the swelling of nose and throat, the mucus becomes thin and comes out easily and the path of breathing opens. Doctors also advise giving hot water steam to children, but parents must take some precautions while giving steam to their children.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">A common mistake many parents make is that they steam their children several times a day, which is absolutely wrong. Taking steam several times a day can cause problems to small children, as repeated steaming removes moisture from the throat, which can cause problems like soreness and burning sensation. You have to keep in mind that the child should be given steam only 2–3 times a day for 5 to 6 minutes and not more than that. The temperature of the steam should be normal or moderate, so that the child can easily take it. If there is no relief even after giving steam for 2-3 days, if the child shows symptoms like high fever, wheezing in the chest, very strong cough or shortness of breath, then it is important to immediately contact the pediatrician.</p>

He told that garlic is not only a spice that enhances the taste of food, but it is no less than a boon for the body in winter.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Panacea for heart and joints </strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Acharya Balkrishna, if garlic is consumed properly, it is very beneficial for heart health. It helps in reducing the bad cholesterol accumulated in the blood, which keeps blood pressure under control and reduces the risk of heart related diseases. Apart from this, people often complain of joint pain and stiffness in winter. Consumption of garlic also provides relief from these problems.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Immunity Booster and Detox </strong></p>

<li style="text-align: justify;"><strong>With lukewarm water:</strong> You can also take 1-2 raw buds with lukewarm water in the morning on an empty stomach.</li>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Garlic oil for pain: For joint pain, swelling or muscle stiffness, Acharya ji has advised massage with garlic oil. The method of making it is very simple:</p>

<li style="text-align: justify;">Crush about 50 grams of garlic.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Cook it in 100 to 200 grams of mustard, coconut or olive oil.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">When the garlic turns black, filter the oil and keep it aside. Massaging the painful area with this oil provides great relief. It also strengthens the nervous system and pacifies Vata dosha.</li>
