The schedule of Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 has been changed. The matches to be held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru have been shifted to the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. After the Bengaluru stampede case, the Karnataka government adopted a very strict attitude, due to which the Chinnaswamy Stadium was not allowed to organize the World Cup matches. The World Cup (Women’s Odie World Cup 2025 Schedule) will start from 30 September and the final will be played on 2 November.

Despite the change in the venue, the dates of the tournament have not changed. As before, India and Sri Lanka will be doing the first match of the World Cup, who are going to host the World Cup together. Now five grounds for the World Cup will be ACA Stadium (Guwahati), Holkar Stadium (Indore), DY Patil Stadium (Navi Mumbai), ADA-VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam) and R Premdasa Stadium (Colombo).

The Women’s ODI will start 2025 only 2 days after getting the Asian Champion in Men’s Cricket. The Indian squad has been announced for the World Cup, which will be captained by Harmanpreet Kaur. A shocking thing is that the stormy opening batsman Shefali Verma has been dropped from the squad. The World Cup will be played till 30 September-2 November, whose matches will be played in India and Sri Lanka. India and Sri Lanka are going to host the women’s ODI World Cup, for which a total of 5 grounds have been selected. However, matches can be shifted from M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru to another place. A total of 8 teams will play in the World Cup, who will face each other once in the league stage under the round-robin format. The top-4 team will enter the semi-finals in the group stage. Finally the finals will be played on 2 November.

When will India’s matches be?

The tournament will begin on September 30 with the India vs Sri Lanka match. The second match of Team India will be held on 5 October from Pakistan and then on 9 October South Africa. On October 12, Team India will have a tough challenge of Australia, which has won the ODI World Cup 7 times. India will face England on 19 October and then on 23 October from New Zealand. Team India’s last league stage match will be held with Bangladesh on 26 October.
