Gifts are being showered heavily on the World Cup winning Indian team. Around 40 crores to become champion, then BCCI announced to give Rs 51 crores to Team India and now a businessman from Surat has decided to give a special gift to the Indian women’s cricket team.

Surat businessman Govind Dholakia has gifted the Indian team with handmade diamond jewelery along with installation of solar panels on the roof of each member of the champion team. Let us tell you that Govind Dholakia is also a Rajya Sabha member.

According to news agency PTI, Govind Dholakia had written a letter to BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla expressing his intention to honor Team India on and off the field. Govind wanted to gift hand-crafted diamond jewelery to each member of Team India for their outstanding and determined performance. Along with this, he also talked about installing solar panels on the roof of every player’s house.

Govind Dholakia is known for his philanthropic work. He told that he is giving a gift to the Indian players for their discipline and determination. He has inspired millions of people with this performance. Govind is the chairman of Shri Ramakrishna Exports Company.

Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had announced a reward of Rs 51 crore for Team India. Team India had received prize money of about Rs 40 crore for winning the Women’s World Cup. This is 297 percent more than the prize money of the 2022 World Cup winner. Now it is being told that after the historic victory, the Indian team can meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday morning. Team India can be seen having breakfast with PM Modi.

The trophy drought that has been going on for 52 years has finally ended. For this historic victory, Team India has received prize money of approximately Rs 40 crore, which is 300 percent more than the prize money of the 2022 World Cup. Apart from this, BCCI has also announced to give a separate amount of Rs 51 crore to the Indian team and support staff. Who will get how much money?

After winning the World Cup, the Indian team has received prize money of Rs 40 crore, which is distributed among Team India. The entire money is not distributed among the players, support staff and coaches will also get some part of it. The 15-member Ysquad has the majority share in the prize money. That means, out of the prize money of Rs 40 crore, a huge amount will go to the 15-member Indian squad. And some part will go to the coaches and support staff.

BCCI has also announced a reward of Rs 51 crore to Team India. Most of this will also go to the 15-member squad. Also, this amount will be distributed among the support staff and coaches.

Whereas if a state government gives prize money to a player, then he gets the entire amount. For example, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has announced to give Rs 1 crore to Renuka Singh Thakur. Renuka will get this amount of one crore, in which no other player will have any part in the support staff.

India has won the ODI World Cup for the first time by defeating South Africa by 52 runs. DY Patil Stadium of Navi Mumbai became witness to this historic moment. After 2005 and 2017, this Indian team was playing the third World Cup final, finally Team India won the cup under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur. For this historic victory, the Indian team has received a record prize money of approximately Rs 42 crore. A prize pool of approximately Rs 123 crore was prepared for the Women’s World Cup.

How much prize money does the World Cup winner get?

The Indian cricket team has received prize money of approximately Rs 42 crore for becoming the champion of the World Cup 2025. This amount is more than the prize money received by 2023 Men’s World Cup winner Australia. Apart from this, BCCI has already announced to give a prize money of Rs 125 crore to Team India if it becomes the winner. Australia had received prize money of about Rs 33 crore at that time. But an amount of Rs 42 crore was given to the Indian women’s cricket team. The runner-up South African team has received prize money of about Rs 20 crore.

Money has also been showered on the teams going to the semi-finals, i.e. Australia and England. Both the teams have received Rs 11.95 crore. No team returned home empty-handed, because a lot of money was showered on the teams that were eliminated in the league stage itself.

The teams ranked fifth (Sri Lanka) and sixth (New Zealand) in the table have received Rs 7.8 crore each. Whereas Pakistan, ranked seventh (Bangladesh) and eighth, both got Rs 4.5 crore.
