In the last few years, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increased in many sectors. However, there are also apprehensions about a large number of employment decrease in some industries from AI. Along with this, the number of jobs related to AI and machine learning (ML) is increasing.

A media Report A report by Naukri, which included the country’s major employee websites, has been quoted as saying that in the first quarter of the current financial year, AI-related jobs have increased by 38 percent on a year-old basis. Naukri has been posted on Naukri between April and June, more than 35,000 AI and machine learning jobs have been posted. Non-AI Tech Jobs has increased by about eight percent during this period. A large part of AI’s jobs (53 percent) was in the AI sector. After this, these jobs have increased by 48 percent in the banking sector. These jobs have increased by 39 percent in IT enabled services and BPO sectors.

This report titled ‘AI: Friend, Foe or Frenemy’ has collected information on the basis of candidates searching more than 60,000 jobs, thousands of job listings and recruiter survey. The tech industry is also divided over the impact on AI’s employment. In this regard, CEO of AI Safety and Research firm Anthropic, Dario Amodei says that by 2030, about 50 percent white-collar and entry level jobs will disappear. However, CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang argues that the situation of these jobs will change but it will not end completely.

Alphabet’s CEO, Sundar Pichai recently said that AI could not replace workers despite increasing the use of AI. Pichai had reported that AI acts as an accelerator instead of Human talent options. This makes it easier for the company to take advantage of more occasions in the emerging area of technology. Pichai had said, “I hope our existing engineering base will be extended by next year.” Their attitude is different from companies that sees AI as a means of reducing the cost. <!--

American e-commerce and technology company Amazon has trimmed hundreds of workers in its cloud computing division. However, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has not been informed about the correct number of jobs. Earlier, a large number of workers were removed in Amazon.

A one of reates Report It has been told that this trimming has affected many teams in AWS. In this regard, Amazon spokesperson said, “AWS has a difficult decision related to business to abolish certain rolls. Such decisions are necessary as the resources are being used more along with investments to deliver innovation to our customers.” Many workers who came under the purview of this retrench said that they were informed via email that their positions had been abolished.

This has affected many teams in AWS. One of these teams is called ‘Specialists’. This team works with customers to develop the new product idea and support AWS’s existing services sales. Recently, Amazon had reduced the staff in business related to his books. Amazon’s CEO, Andy Jassy’s Strategy Company has to speed up the process of making decisions and make functioning more efficient. Amazon has targeted to increase the ratio of individual contributors and managers by 15 percent, so that bureaucracy can be reduced.
Recently in India, Amazon has entered the new business segment like Quick-Commerce. The company has started the new division Amazon Now for this. This service of Amazon can give a tough fight to Zomato’s Blinkit, Swiggy’s Instamart and Zepto in this segment. These three companies have a large stake in the market of Quick-commerce. These companies offer delivery in less than 15 minutes ranging from grocery to smartphones like gadgets. The general delivery service of Amazon, which holds a large stake in the e-commerce market, is delivered in the same day or a few days of the products.
<!--

Microsoft, one of the big technology companies, has stopped its functioning in Pakistan under the strategy to reduce its international workforce. This is a major setback for Pakistan, which has been facing economic difficulties for the past several years. Earlier, some other international companies have also stopped their business in Pakistan.

Microsoft’s office was in Pakistan for 25 years. The company has given the reason for the shift on the business restructuring and cloud-based model at the international level behind this decision. Microsoft has decided to reduce its workforce by about four percent. This will affect the company’s more than 9,000 workers in many countries. Microsoft’s former Country Manager in Pakistan, Jawwad Rehman, has requested Pakistan’s government and IT minister to interact with tech companies in a post on professional networking platform Linkedin. He said that Microsoft’s departure shows the current business atmosphere. Rahman said, “It is becoming difficult for big international companies like Microsoft.”

Former Pakistan President, Arif Alvi, has expressed concern over the functioning of Microsoft in a post on social media platform X. “This is a sign of difficulty for our economic future,” he said. At the same time, he claimed that Microsoft had once considered expansion in Pakistan but the company had chosen Vietnam due to instability. The company had a Liazen Office in Pakistan and focused on enterprise, education and government clients.

Later last month, the company had around 2,28,000 workers at the international level. It is preparing to remove thousands of these workers. It will have a major impact on divisions like sales and gaming. Microsoft, which created the Windows operating system, had informed about a capital expenditure of about $ 80 billion in FY 2025. However, the cost of increasing infrastructure related to AI is affecting its margin. The company has stated that its plan is to reduce the number of managers and improve its products and procedure.

American devices maker Apple’s largest contract manufacturer FoxConn has removed Chinese engineers and technicians from its factories in India. This can lead to difficulties in preparing the upcoming iPhone 17 manufacturing for Apple. The number of Chinese staff extracted from Foxconn factories is more than 300.

One of bloomberg Report It has been reported that this decision of Foxconn may be the cause of tension between the US and China regarding trade and tariffs. In the last two months, more than 300 Chinese workers have been eliminated from Foxconn’s iPhone assembling units in India. However, Taiwan’s Foxconn has not given the reason for this. Recently, Foxconn has set up a new factory in Orgadam, Tamil Nadu. This has indicated to increase manufacturing in India by Apple.

During March to May this year, Foxconn has exported about $ 3.2 billion iPhones from the country. About 97 percent of these iPhones have been exported to the US. However, American President Donald Trump expressed displeasure over the Apple’s plan to increase the manufacturing of iPhone in India. Trump had also warned Apple to put a 25 percent tariff on iPhones sold there for not manufacturing iPhone in the US. This may increase the price of iPhones in America.

Foxconn has around 80,000 workers in India. It is the largest manufacturer of iPhones. However, a large part of Foxconn’s manufacturing is in China. Apple has increased the assembling of the iPhone in India under the strategy of decreasing manufacturing in China. In the last financial year, the iPhone stake in the export of smartphones from the country was about Rs 1.5 lakh crore. Apple’s affordable iPhone 16E, launched in February, is being assembled in India. With the sale of iPhone 16E being assembled in the country, some countries will also be exported in India. Recently, Tata Group’s Tata Electronics has also started manufacturing iPhones in Hosur’s new factory in Tamil Nadu.

CEO of Alphabet, who operates Google among big tech companies, Sundar Pichai has said that the hiring of engineers will continue in the company. He said that despite the increase in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), it cannot replace workers.

In the Bloomberg Tech Conference, Pichai reported that AI acts as an accelerator rather than the option of Human Talent. This makes it easier for the company to take advantage of more occasions in the emerging area of technology. Pichai said, “I hope our existing engineering base will be extended by next year.” This attitude of Pichai is different from other companies that look at AI as a means of reducing the cost.

American technology and e-commerce company Amazon, software company Microsoft and META, which operates social media platform Facebook, have trimmed thousands of workers in the last few months. These companies are increasing their investment in AI. This has increased the possibility of AI replacing Human workers in the tech industry. Pichai said that AI has increased the production of engineers. Some tasks are being done with the help of AI and engineers can be engaged in more impact tasks. However, Google has also invested billions of dollars in AI.

Recently, the company had said that Google One Subscription Service has increased more than 15 crore subscribers. In this service, subscribers have to pay for cloud storage and artificial intelligence (AI) features. Nearly six years after the service of Google One, its number of subscribers exceeded 10 crores in February last year. Along with this, Google introduced a paid plan with access to AI features. The price of this plan was $ 19.99 per month. However, access to AI features is not available for Google One’s free users. There is a low price plan for features like this service file storage. For the last few years, Alphabet has been getting a tough competition from AI chatbots like Chatgpt of Openai. Alphabet can help in strengthening the financial position in long-term by increasing subscriptions of Google One service. <!--

Government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) 4G network can soon be launched across the country. 93,450 towers have been installed for this. Indigenous technology has been used for BSNL’s 4G network. This network will be upgraded to 5G.

Telecom minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said, “We have installed about 93,450 towers. In this, C-DOT is a public sector company, BSNL a government company, Tejas Networks A Private Sector Company and Tata CONSULTANACY SERVICES (TCS) included the system as an integrator. The country’s first stack is prepared in. ” He said that India has become the fifth country with indigenous telecom stack for 4G in the world. The list includes China, Finland, South Korea and Sweden.

A consortium led by TCS was given a contract of about Rs 19,000 crore associated with installing one lakh 4G sites for BSNL. BSNL plans to launch 4G service in June. After this, the company will upgrade 4G sites and launch 5G network. Earlier, the company was allowed to fund Rs 6,000 crore for expansion of 4G network by the central government. This fund will also be used for the company’s 4G network of subsidiary metropolitan telephone corporations (MTNL).

The 5G network of big telecom companies like Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel is present in a large part of the country. To compete with these companies, BSNL needs to launch 5G service soon. Recently, BSNL workers demonstrated against the delay in the launch of 4G services and 5G networks. The company’s workers are also angry with the poor performance of fiber-to-hom (FTTH) and delay in the Central Government’s Bharatnet project. In the last few years, millions of BSNL subscribers have shifted to the network of private telecom companies. This has caused a major loss of revenue to BSNL. Recently, BSNL found spectrum in premium bands like 700 MHz and 3,300 MHz, which is important for 5G network.

American President Donald Trump has expressed displeasure over the Apple’s plan to increase the manufacturing of iPhone in India. Trump has asked Apple’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Cook to increase the manufacturing of iPhone in the US. Apple plans to shift some part of its manufacturing in China to India.

According to a report by Bloomberg News, Trump, who visited Qatar, referred to his conversation with Cook, “I had some problems with Cook. He is setting up manufacturing plants in India. I do not want you to build a manufacturing plant in India.” Trump reported that in the result of this conversation, Apple in the US will increase its manufacturing.

Apple representatives in India did not answer the request sent for comment. Apple planned to import most of iPhones from India for sale in the US by the end of next year. The company’s plan may be shocked after Trump’s statement. Most of the manufacturing of iPhones is done in China. Apple smartphones do not have manufacturing in America. However, the company has promised more workers hiring more workers in the US and an investment of about $ 500 billion in the next four years. Manufacturing iPhones in America will be very difficult for Apple. Supply chains and skilled labor for iPhones have been present in China for the past several years. In recent years, Apple has started efforts to increase its manufacturing in India.

Last month, manufacturing of iPhones was started in Tata Group’s Tata Electronics’s new factory in Hosur’s new factory in Tamil Nadu. In this factory of Tata Electronics, old models of iPhone will be made on a assembly line. Apple’s biggest contract manufacturer Foxconn’s manufacturer will soon be started in the factory being built near Bengaluru in Karnataka. In India, Foxcony’s revenue in the last financial year was more than doubled to about Rs 1.7 lakh crore. The number of workers of Foxconn has increased by 65 percent. Foxconn has around 80,000 workers in the country. This Taiwan company is the largest manufacturer of iPhones.
<!--

The attitude of the management and its connected vendors is the main reason behind this. Due to this, a large number of subscribers are missing and rehew is being damaged.”

BSNL workers will begin the performance on 16 May with the signature campaign. Apart from this, there will be a sit -in at all corporate offices of the company.
