The Trump administration in America is going to make its policies more strict regarding immigrants. The US administration is preparing to intensify the immigration crackdown in the year 2026. The Trump administration is now preparing to raid workplaces as well. According to a Reuters report, Congress approved a major spending package in July, under which Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol will receive additional funding of $ 170 billion by September 2029. This huge amount is many times more than their current annual budget of $19 billion.

Officials say this money will be used to recruit thousands of new agents, open new detention centers and pick up migrants from jails. Help of external companies will also be taken to track undocumented people. Federal agents raided several large businesses this year. Places like farms and factories were kept out of it till now.

Trump’s popularity also affected
White House ‘Border Czar’ Tom Homan has made it clear that this concession is about to end. Homan said that I think next year we will see a huge jump in the figures. This will also fully include action at workplaces. Let us tell you that these strict policies of American President Trump are also affecting his popularity. Trump’s approval rating on immigration policy was 50 percent in March, which has fallen to 41 percent by mid-December.

There was a promise to evacuate 10 lakh migrants every year
Trump had promised to expel 1 million immigrants every year. About 6,22,000 migrants have been deported since January 2025. Government figures expose Trump’s claim that he only talks about expelling criminals. Of the 54,000 people arrested by ICE by the end of November, 41 percent had no previous criminal record, compared to just 6 percent in January, before Trump came to power.

Temporary legal status of thousands of migrants also taken away
Interestingly, the Trump administration is targeting not only illegal immigrants but also people living legally. According to reports, spouses of American citizens were arrested during their green card interviews. Thousands of immigrants from Haiti, Venezuela and Afghanistan have also been stripped of their temporary legal status. Experts believe that if there are raids at work places, labor costs will increase. Due to this, it will be difficult to control inflation in America.

Stress at workplace: Amidst the changes in the workplace, young professionals in India are facing stress and mental health problems. This information was given in a report on Tuesday. A report by the Global Technology Company ADP highlights the changes in ’emotional landscape’, where the gaps (difference between generations) are becoming increasingly clear in the stress level.

Stress level 27 to 39 years old people more

The report showed that the highest stress level has been seen in young professionals aged 27 to 39 years. 11 percent of the professionals said that they do high stress experience, which is more than 9 percent of the national average. Only 51 percent of the 18-26 year old workers gave information about better stress management.

On the other hand, older workers aged 55-64 gave information about stress management, in which 81 percent of the workers said that they feel stressed in less than once a week. More workload was found as the main trigger for the youth employee, where 16 percent of the people aged 18-26 years spoke of tension due to heavy workload.

65 percent monitoring of workers’ work

Apart from this, 67 percent of the workers said that they are judged for flexible working arrangements. 65 percent of the workers said that they are being monitored at work, which can increase the feelings of pressure. Rahul Goel, Managing Director of ADP India and South East Asia, said, “These findings show that today’s workforce, especially young professionals complexes and emotionally demanding work environment. The effect of stress and judge is the need to create a more supportive environment for their employees.”

The tension level among Indian employees has been reduced by 12 per cent to 9 per cent in 2023 in 2023, while the percentage of employees who feel that they are succeeding in their jobs have been reduced by 22 per cent to 20 per cent in 2024 in 2023.
