The date and venue of the final of the World Test Championship 2027 have been confirmed. The final match will be played next year at The Oval ground in London. Earlier, the 2023 final was also played on this ground, when Australia won the title. ICC confirmed that the final match of WTC 2025-27 will be played from June 9-June 13.

Last year, the International Cricket Council had confirmed that the next 3 World Test Championship finals would be played in England. This means that the finals of 2027, 2029 and then 2031 will also be played in England. Let us tell you that before this, England had also hosted all the three final matches.

When the final of the World Test Championship was last played on the historic ground of The Oval, Australia and India clashed. Australia won that match by a huge margin of 209 runs. Whereas the Indian team had lost the second consecutive WTC final in 2023 after 2021.

It has not been decided yet which teams will compete in the final of the World Test Championship 2027. Talking about the table, Australia is at the top by a very good margin and there is a high expectation that the Kangaroo team will play its second WTC final.

South Africa and New Zealand are placed second and third respectively and are looking in a very good position to reach the finals. The path to the final is looking a bit difficult for other teams including India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. The situation is especially worrisome for Team India, which is playing the finals of 2021 and 2023, which should not accept anything less than defeat in its next Test matches if it wants to get a ticket for the finals. India is currently at fifth position in the table.
