Deepti Sharma was bought by UP Warriors for Rs 3 crore 20 lakh using ‘Right to Match’ card. Now she is the most expensive Indian player in the history of WPL after Smriti Mandhana. Mandhana had received Rs 20 lakh more than him.

The price of the first player to be retained will be Rs 3.5 crore, while the retention price of the fifth and last player will be Rs 50 lakh. Each team can use five Right to Match cards (RTM), but the number of RTM cards will depend on the players retained by the team. The more players a team retains, the fewer RTM cards will be available.

Each team will have the freedom to retain 3 capped players. A team can retain only 2 foreign players. The price of retaining an uncapped player will be Rs 50 lakh and a franchise can retain two uncapped players. However, the price given to an uncapped player may be different from the amount of Rs 50 lakh.
