The price and global release date of Xiaomi Portable Photo Printer 1 has not been revealed. The printer in China is priced at 399 yuan (about Rs 4,655). Xiaomi says that the cost of print may be reduced by 1.98 yuan (about Rs 22.85) per sheet. It is not yet clear whether it works with other brand zink paper or not.

Xiaomi Portable Photo Printer 1S has ZINK (zero-Enc) technology, which means that it does not need an ink cartridge. It heats special paper to activate the color crystal. Printed photo has a sticky back and can be placed on a scrapbook or phone cover etc. The box consists of 5 sheets of photo paper. 1S printer supports AR photo. Users can attach a 15 -second video or 60 -second audio clip in the photo through Mi Home App. On scanning from the app, the printed photo runs the linked media. The app also offers editing tools such as filters, collage layouts and watermarks with avatar or text.

For connectivity, it gets support of Bluetooth 5.2, which connects it. It supports up to three devices at a time. Wi-Fi is not required for this. The printer supports image formats like JPEG, PNG and Heif. It works with Android 8.0 or iOS 12.0 and new version. The AR content is managed through the Mi Home App, which has a limit of 100 AR photos per user account. Talking about dimensions, the printer has a length of 82 mm, width 124 mm, thickness 22 mm.
