Army Day is celebrated every year on 15 January in India. This day is dedicated to our brave soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the security of the country. In fact, on January 15, 1949, Lieutenant General Kodandera M. Cariappa took over as the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army.
