Yami Gautam was born on 28 November 1988 in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.

Yami Gautam did her early education from Yadvinder Public School, Chandigarh. After school, Yami took admission in Punjab University.

According to media reports, while studying in college, Yami wanted to become an IAS officer.

Yami was studying Law Honors subject in college. Changes came suddenly in the life of Yami, who dreamed of becoming an IAS since childhood.

Yami tells that one day some guests came to her house. Among them were friends of Yami’s father, whose wife was an actress. He saw that Yami had the quality to become an actress. After this, some photos of Yami were sent to many production houses in Mumbai.

Yami Gautam came to Mumbai from Chandigarh at the age of 20 to make her career in films. For this reason he had to leave his studies midway.

While living in Mumbai, Yami started her career with modeling and then made her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Vicky Donor’ with actor Ayushmann Khurrana. Apart from this, Yami has also acted in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada language films.
