On the call of Bharatiya Kisan Union, a big mahapanchayat was organized at the zero point of Yamuna Expressway on Monday. A large number of farmers from many districts including Western Uttar Pradesh arrived in this Mahapanchayat. Due to the mobilization of farmers, the entire area was seen in the colors of farmers movement. Rakesh Tikait, national spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union, also reached the Panchayat and addressed the farmers.

During the Mahapanchayat, farmers expressed their anger against the authority and the government. Farmers said that now they are not going to believe just on assurances. Their problems have remained the same for years and every time only promises are made. The farmers clearly said that now they will keep each and every one of their rights, even if they have to organize a big movement for this.

Farmers submitted memorandum of their demands

Seeing the seriousness of the situation, police, administration and authority officials also reached the spot and talked to the farmers. The farmers submitted a memorandum regarding their demands to the officials. Also warned that if their demands are not considered soon, the movement will be intensified.

What are the main demands of the farmers?

The main demands of the farmers include a permanent solution to the population-related problem, 64 percent increased compensation on land acquisition, allotment of developed land in lieu of acquired land, facilities like roads, water, drains and electricity in villages on the lines of cities and providing employment to local unemployed youth in government and private projects.

Rakesh Tikait addressed the Mahapanchayat

Addressing the Mahapanchayat, Rakesh Tikait said that a farmer’s house is not just four walls. His surroundings are also an important part of his life where he does animal husbandry and earns his living. But the government is not including Gher in the population due to which the farmers are being deprived of their rights. Tikait said that this injustice will not be tolerated and the farmers will be given their rights under any circumstances.

Questions raised regarding Aravali mountain range

During this, Rakesh Tikait also raised serious questions regarding the Aravalli mountain range. He said that Aravali is a natural wall that stops the sandy winds coming from Rajasthan. The government’s order for cutting of about 100 meters will not only harm the environment but will also pose a threat to the livelihood of farmers.

A large number of farmer leaders, villagers and farmers including farmer leaders Pawan Khatana, Sunil Pradhan, Rajveer Singh Lawaniyan, Kumari Meera, Arab Singh, Satdev Pathak, Sundar Baliyan, Robin Nagar, Lalit Chauhan, Lala Yadav were present in the Mahapanchayat. After the Panchayat, the farmers united and gave the message that now they are organized and ready to go to any extent for their rights.

The pollution level in Delhi-NCR, Noida and Greater Noida has reached a very dangerous level. AQI in Noida-Greater Noida has crossed 500, which falls in the serious category. In such a situation, people may now have to face a ‘triple attack’. First smog, second severe cold and third dense fog.

After these accidents, the administration and government had appealed to the people to take special care while driving.

Speed ​​limit reduced on Yamuna Expressway

At the same time, considering the situation, the speed limit on Noida Highway and Yamuna Expressway has been reduced. Its objective is that vehicles move at controlled speed and chances of accidents are reduced. The traffic police is continuously monitoring and advising drivers to drive carefully.

Sify Infinit & Jackson has also received two data centers plots in 10 acres. At the same time, Yeida (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority) itself is buying 13,300 acres of farming land, which will be converted into industrial and commercial projects.

Did the prices of flats also double here?

Although the prices of land may have doubled, but the prices of flats have increased by only 15-20 percent. The reason is that a large number of people are not living here right now. Most people work in Delhi or Noida, so it is not convenient for them to stay here at the moment.

What is the possibility in future?

The ATS Group is developing a 100 -acre township here and has also sold many plots. Officials of Anarock and ATS believe that as the business increases, the demand for residential and commercial property will also speed up. Along with this, the Uttar Pradesh government is also planning five new cities on 56,000 hectares of land in the eastern part of Noida, including New Noida, Heritage City, New Agra, Tappal-Bajna and IITGN TOWNSIP.
