According to the Times of India report, Jaiswal had to be admitted to Aditya Birla Hospital due to severe gastroenteritis. The 23-year-old batsman scored 15 runs in 16 balls as Mumbai chased the target of 217 runs.

The report further states that Jaiswal was having stomach cramps throughout the match and his condition worsened after the match. He was given ultrasound and CT scan at the hospital and was given proper medical aid. Later he was advised to continue his medication and take adequate rest.

Talking about the match, in the Super League Group B match of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Mumbai defeated Rajasthan by three wickets, thanks to Ajinkya Rahane’s unbeaten inning of 72 runs and Sarfaraz Khan’s stormy 73-run inning played in 22 balls.
