Daya Shankar Pandey on Struggling Days: Actor Daya Shankar Pandey has been seen playing the role of current Pandey in TV’s popular show ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ for a long time. Prior to this, he has been a part of many great Bollywood films. These include Aamir Khan’s ‘Lagaan’, Ajay Devgan’s ‘Gangajal’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Swadesh’. Recently, Daya has revealed that once Aamir Khan had lost his job.

Talking on Friday Talkies YouTube channel, Daya Shankar Pandey recently recalled her struggle days. During this, he told that in those days the film alone got a job in Tum. But Aamir Khan felt that he did better than this and he had packed him.

We alone we got the role of junior artist in you alone
Daya Shankar Pandey said- ‘I did not have work. I was struggling with the crisis of money. My family refused to support me and I thought I will earn money myself. I told the Assistant Director (AD) of the film alone Hum Alone Tum to give me any appropriate role and so they got me 12 days work in that film and I was getting 2000 rupees everyday.

‘They made my pack-up’

Daya said- ‘I did not want to hear this praise because I wanted to go by doing my everyday work. Then Aamir Khan seemed to be a villain. They packed my pack-up. The actor further told that later Aamir Khan cast him in Lagaan and also recommended him for a role in slave.
