Now YouTube is bringing a new AI powered upscaling tool, which will make any video very high-quality. No matter how old the video is or how low resolution it is uploaded. This feature has been named Super Resolution and the creator will be able to opt-out of it if he wants.

How will the feature work?

Due to developments in AI, it has now become possible to upscale the quality of any old and low quality video. For this, a special model is designed, which can enhance the details of images and videos using pattern recognition algorithm.

The quality of all videos will be better

After the arrival of this feature, all the videos on YouTube can be upscaled, making them look more sharp and detailed. Its maximum effect will be visible on a big screen like TV. Users will also be able to see whether a video is playing at upscaled resolution or not. They will also be able to watch it at the originally uploaded resolution. Currently this feature is being rolled out for videos uploaded at resolution less than 1080p. Later, there will be an option to upscale HD videos also.

Video rules will change from November 17

The rules regarding content related to gambling and violent gaming on YouTube are going to be strict. The Google-owned platform has said that from November 17, it will restrict videos featuring gambling with digital goods like NFTs and apply age limits on content containing casino-style or violent gaming.
