SP MP Zia Ur Rehman Burke was fined 1 crore 91 lakh by the electricity department. Now the Allahabad High Court has banned the electricity bill of SP MP. The court has stayed the order of 15 May 2025 issued against the SP MP. While hearing the case, the double bench of Justice Soumitra Dayal Singh and Justice Sandeep Jain has ordered.

The Electricity Department had given notice of recovery of Rs 1.91 crore SP SP MP. Regarding this, the SP MP’s lawyer said that the electricity department is charging a fine of the last 12 years, while the recovery should be only 1 year old. On this, the court ordered that within two weeks, the Executive Engineer of the Power Department should deposit Rs 6 lakh with the Executive Engineer Electricity Distribution Division of the Electricity Department. Along with this, the court ordered that the electricity connection of the petitioner which has been temporarily deducted can be restored on the condition of timely payment of future bills. However, the next hearing in this case will be held on 2 July.

Explain that the UP Electricity Department imposed a fine of Rs 1.91 crore in December last year after investigation at the SP MP’s residence in Sambhal’s Deepal Sarai area in the alleged power theft case.

Sambhal news: Samajwadi Party leader and MP from Lok Sabha constituency Ziaurrahman Burke was questioned on Tuesday, 8 April at Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. Ziaurrahman: I first came to know from the TV channel that the survey of Jama Masjid is being done, so I reached there with my PA. The crowd was already gathered and I had explained to them that the court proceedings should be done.

SIT: The police officer and common people present at that time have given a statement in front of the police that on the day of the first survey, you provoked the crowd with your speech?

Ziaurrahman: I did not give any speech, just interacted with the media.
