The court has stayed the order of 15 May 2025 issued against the SP MP. While hearing the case, the double bench of Justice Soumitra Dayal Singh and Justice Sandeep Jain has ordered.

The Electricity Department had given notice of recovery of Rs 1.91 crore SP SP MP. Regarding this, the SP MP’s lawyer said that the electricity department is charging a fine of the last 12 years, while the recovery should be only 1 year old. On this, the court ordered that within two weeks, the Executive Engineer of the Power Department should deposit Rs 6 lakh with the Executive Engineer Electricity Distribution Division of the Electricity Department. Along with this, the court ordered that the electricity connection of the petitioner which has been temporarily deducted can be restored on the condition of timely payment of future bills. However, the next hearing in this case will be held on 2 July.
