Tahawwur rana extradition: The 26/11, one of the important accused in the Mumbai terror attack, Tawwur Hussain Rana has been brought from America to India, but it was not just a common extradition but a long and interesting air journey made by extremely secrecy and exact scheme. An expensive business jet was used in this journey from Miami to Delhi, including an 11 -hour secret stopover in Romania.

According to a report by India Today, the aircraft used to bring Tahwwur Rana was Gulfstream G550. It is a expensive, super mid-size business jet, which usually uses big industrialists and VVIPs. The aircraft was rented from a charter company in Vienna (Austria).

The jet flew from Miami city of America on Wednesday, 9 April at 2:15 am (Indian time at 11:45 pm). After this, the aircraft directly reaches Bukharest, the capital of Romania, where its landing takes place at 7 pm (Indian time at 9:30 pm).

11 hours ‘confidential’ stagnation

The aircraft was stopped for about 11 hours in Bucharest. Although there may be needs like safety reasons or crew changes behind this blockage, it was not officially informed about what was the reason behind stopping the aircraft. On Thursday i.e. on 10 April at 6:15 am (Indian time 8:45 am), the aircraft took a final flight from Bukharest and reached New Delhi.

The aircraft bringing Rana to India is very special

The US army uses this aircraft ie Gulfstream G550 design as C-37B and EA-37B compass calls. It is a long distance aircraft of up to 12,500 km. Along with this, it has many security facilities, such as an enhanced vision system (EVS) and auto throttle, which ensure safe and comfortable travel.

It was made in the year 2013. In the cabin of Gulfstream G550, 19 people can sit with 9 Diwan seats and 6 beds. This jet also has the facility of wireless internet, satellite phone, and advanced entertainment system.
